Over 60 years ago there was a man who had a vision. It had to do with people, cheese, and a little red wagon. What am I talking about? The Figi’s Company! It is a great company to order whatever you are looking for.

What an amazing start to John Figi’s business. John and his wife Ann were making some of Wisconsin’s finest aged cheddar cheese right out of their house. Ann was responsible for sorting all the orders that came in. She also had to hand cut about 200 one pound wheels and 70 one pound blocks of cheese on their kitchen table. She sealed the cheese by wrapping it with cellophane that had been preheated on the stove. While she did that John was busy making his special cheese. They made great business partners. I wonder f they even thought about how big their business would get as time went on.
Since there were no cheese cutters or computers or machines to do some of the work back then, everything had to be done by hand. All of the addresses and orders had to be hand written. They also had to hand cut all the cheese orders. So you can just imagine how much work they had to do! They slowly built their business customer by customer and brick of cheese after brick of cheese.
To this day the legend of the little red wagon has stuck with the Figi’s Company. Every year they offer collectible Christmas tree ornaments with a different little character sitting in the wagon. It could be from a bear to a moose to a snowman. They sell out every year! So they are a very popular collectible item.
