Worship Music

Christian Festivals:

Consisting of two annual festivals full of four days of music, baptisms, teachings, camping, fellowship, late night cafes, petting zoos, communion services, fireworks, candlelight services, prayer tents, extreme sports, Youth Pastor VIP tents, and more, Creation Festival Northeast 2011 will be held at the Agape Farm in Mount Union, Pennsylvania from June 29-July 2, 2011, and Creation Festival Northwest 2011 will occur at the Enumclaw Expo Center, in Enumclaw, Washington, outside of Seattle, from July 20-23, 2011.

Theme:

Believing the greatest news the human race has ever received is the love of God demonstrated through Jesus death and resurrection, and the gift of the Holy Spirit, Creation Festival Northwest’s purpose is to present the Gospel through teaching, worship, music, and all other creative means to help draw attendees to salvation in Christ.

Tim Landis:

The Christian Festivals were co-founded by Tim Landis, who in 1975 while a student at Eastern Mennonite College in Harrisonburg, Virginia, scheduled Petra, one of the pioneers of the Christian Rock and Contemporary Christian music fields, to perform on campus, became heavily influenced by their music and its affects on the show goers, and began what he called the “Jesus Music Series” that holds about a dozen concerts a year in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area each year under the name “Creation Concerts.

Pastor Harry Thomas:

In 1971 Pastor Harry Thomas, the other co-founder of the Creation Festivals, while driving home from New York City, visualized thousands of young people on a hill, and feeling led to reach out to youth through music available from the “Jesus Movement,” began planning “Jesus Rocks” music on a radio program he had, started the Come Alive Ministries that were syndicated on more than fifty radio stations, and attended the Jesus ’73 Music Festival where he felt called to festival music.
