Distilled Water and Weight Loss

Water Diet, Water Fasting

Distilled Water and Weight Loss – One of the things that you should add to any weight loss plan or diet is lots of water, eight 8 ounce glasses per day ideally. But why should you drink distilled water? When water is distilled it is boiled until it evaporates and then the water vapor is collected, cooled and ready to drink. Minerals and other potential toxins are too heavy to be lifted by the steam, so they are left behind. It is an accepted practice to use distilled water to detoxify and cleanse the body in preparation for weight loss.

Recommended Plan of Action for Distilled Water Detoxification

1. Every morning when you get up, the first thing that you want to do is to drink 8 ounces of distilled water. This really helps to cleanse your digestive tract and prepare it for the day ahead. Not only will you be pushing through the digested materials from the day before, but you will be preparing your gut for the addition and absorption of new nutrients.

2. For the first few days, you will want to withhold food and only drink distilled water. Fasting on water is a great way to shed about 3 pounds a day. It promotes kidney and urinary health and is an excellent way to cleanse and detoxify the body.

Once you have successfully detoxified your body, you can move on to a daily regimen that will promote long term weight loss. But, there is a controversy that you should know about. Some nutritionists believe that distilled water is not good for human consumption because all of the minerals have been removed and it has the tendency you leach minerals out of the body if it is used in place of your entire water intake. Distilled water actually has its own material data safety sheet. This is a document that outlines potential hazardous effects to ones health. Overall, this document states that distilled water is safe, but does contain this sentence, “The acute oral toxicity is extremely low.” So, you be the judge.

Achieving Weight Loss with Distilled Water

1. Again, every morning you will want to start off with an 8 ounce glass of distilled water.

2. Eat a big breakfast about 45 minutes after you drink your morning water.

3. If you so choose, switch to regular water for your hydrating needs throughout the day.

4. As you continue on your water diet, you will want to add 6 small meals a day to promote a higher metabolism.

5. An easier way to be sure to consume your 8 glasses of water per day is to have a glass of water before each meal, your distilled water in the morning, and another glass before you go to bed.

6. Exercise and stay hydrated. Most nutritionists recommend at least 2 liters of water a day, but a urologist will probably recommend 4 liters of water per day.

7. Stop eating after 6 pm.
