Disney World Dining: Turf Club Bar and Grill at Saratoga Springs Resort

Saratoga, Saratoga Springs

Disney’s Turf Club Bar and Grill is located at the Saratoga Springs Resort at Disney World. The restaurant follows the same racetrack and Saratoga Springs themeing as the resort, modeled after the turn of the century Saratoga Springs, New York. The combination of casual elegance and Saratoga style make the Turf Club Bar and Grill a good choice for an afternoon lunch or evening dinner.

The Ambiance

The setting at Disney’s Turf Club Bar and Grill at Saratoga Springs Resort is well-suited for both adults and families who are looking for a more relaxed dining experience away from the busier Disney theme park restaurants. The hallway leading to the restaurant is lined with framed jockey attire, and a Saratoga Racetrack theme is evident throughout the restaurant.

A stylish billiard room and lounge area is located just outside of the Turf Club Bar and Grill dining area. Guests can shoot a game of pool or have a drink before dining, or plan some time after dinner for a game. The restaurant dining area has inside and patio seatings available. The patio tables overlook the Saratoga Springs golf course.

The Turf Club Bar and Grill Dining Experience

Disney’s Turf Club Bar and Grill at Saratoga Springs Resort is open for lunch and dinner daily. Lunch is served from noon until 5 pm each day, and dinner reservations are accepted between 5 and 9 pm. The menus for lunch and dinner share many of the same appetizers and desserts.

After dining at Disney’s Turf Club Bar and Grill for both lunch and dinner on different occasions, I have concluded that both are good choices for dining at Disney World, but lunch is the favorite of the two. The Turf Club Bar and Grill allows reservations until 5 pm for lunch, and this can be the perfect solution for families looking for a lighter dinner. One of the favorite menu items is the Angus Chuck Cheeseburger ($11.49), which is available for both lunch and dinner. The burger is well-seasoned and tasty, much more like a “steak burger,” than the average cheeseburger.

The appetizers are large and should be large enough for most to share. The Buffalo Chicken Strips received a favorable review from our party, as well as the Onion Rings with dips and the Crab Cakes. Side orders of french fries are generous in portion.

For dinner, the Grilled Top Sirloin ($19.99) and Penne Pasta with Shrimp ($16.99)were both very good. Desserts are limited but the Chocolate Lava Cake ($5.99) is a favorite specialty dessert at Disney’s Turf Club Bar and Grill. The Sour Apple Freeze and Blackberry Lemonade are specialty non-alcoholic drinks offered on the menu for $3.99.

The children’s menu offers several healthy choices for lunch and dinner, supporting Disney’s efforts to offer a healthier menu for children. The chidren’s meals all come with a beverage, soup or salad, an entree, and a dessert. Grilled chicken, macaroni and cheese, pizza with chicken, and a beef and macaroni dish are all on the children’s menu.

Recommendation

Disney’s Turf Club Bar and Grill is one of the newest restaurants at Disney World, and guests dining at the Turf Club Bar and Grill will appreciate the tranquility of the Saratoga Springs Resort location. Lunch is the preferred time to visit Disney’s Turf Club Bar and grill for a mid-afternoon respite, and dinner is perfect for a nice dinner and a game of billiards afterward.

The Turf Club Bar and Grill is located next door to the Artist’s Palate at Saratoga Springs Resort in Walt Disney World. Diners arriving by car can obtain a guest parking pass at the main gate of Saratoga Springs Resort. Disney World transportation is also available, by the Saratoga Springs Resort boat that travels between the resort and the Downtown Disney Marketplace boat docks, and by bus from the four Walt Disney World parks and Downtown Disney area.
