Create Storage with Folgers Coffee Containers

Folgers, Lego Toys

Don’t throw that plastic Folgers Coffee container away! I have many uses for it and I’ll bet they will inspire you to find new ones. Pick your storage options with 13 oz., 23 oz and 34 oz sizes.

For Pet uses:

Use as a storage for pet treats, with the handy lid, it keeps the treats fresher. Extra collars and brushes and combs fit nicely in the plastic containers. Have pet medicines? Put them all in the storage container and set on high shelf to keep young children away from them.

Boating and camping:

Keep your toilet paper dry by sticking a roll inside the Folgers coffee container. Also great for keeping matches, cigarettes or anything else you need kept dry.

You can poke air holes in the plastic containers and fill with dirt and worms. The lid helps to keep them from drying out. Poke drainage holes in the bottom to let excess moisture out.

Bathroom:

Plastic coffee containers are a great storage place for rollers and hair pins, cotton balls, disposable razors and the all important toilet plunger! We store the hair clipping set in one.

Kitchen:

Use one of the containers as a “scrap bucket” for peelings and coffee grounds. Two ingredients for compost piles. The lid minimizes odors. Use as an “unbreakable cookie jar”. Simply line the Folgers coffee container with a zip lock storage bag and fill with cookies or treats. Use with zip lock storage bags to store flours, rice anything you buy in bulk.

Misc. uses:

Baby’s room for soiled clothes and or baby wipes. Kids’ room for mini-waste basket for Kleenex during cold and flu season. Storage for Lego toys and other small sized toys like action and farm figures. Great storage for crayons and markers too.

The mid-sized Folgers coffee containers make nice containers to feed animals like goats out of. They are shorter, so the goat can reach all the way in to eat.

As an aid to hanging laundry out, screw a large Folgers coffee container to the post holding up your clothes lines. Drill the hole about 2″ from the rim. Your lid will still fit and keep the rain off of your pins. Drill a few holes in the bottom for drainage in case water gets into the container.

All of the Folgers coffee containers make great scoops. Why? The mid and large sized containers have a grip made in them. So there is less chance for it to slip out of your hand.

I know you are adding to this list by now. Don’t forget that you can change the way Folgers coffee containers look. Paint them, use contact paper, labels or stickers on them. Easy clean-up with hot water and soap.
