Costco is a membership warehouse club chain. It currently has locations scattered across the United States as well as the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Mexico, South Korea, Taiwan, and Japan.
Instead of discussing the entire Costco store, I would like to focus on one of its services: Costco’s food court, which is known for its relatively inexpensive prices and great tasting food. Though the entire menu can be covered in one article, I would only like to specifically talk about the hot-dog-and-drink combination, which is one of the main food items on the Costco’s food court menu.
Costco’s food court is located right next to the main warehouse. It has seats outside for people to use; however, this area may also be littered with pigeons or other birds.
Every Costco has pretty much the same menu at the food court. The menu can be easily seen, since the images of each food item and its associated price are enlarged and displayed colorfully at the top of the food court right above the ordering windows and registers.
Front and center, with the biggest sign, is the $1.50 quarter-pound Kosher all-beef hot dog or Polish sausage. This food item, already at a great deal, comes with a 20 oz. soda cup. There is a soda machine at the food court, where people can drink as much as they can take. At only $1.50, this deal is one of the best that Costco has to offer. The hot dog or Polish sausage itself is tasty. There are condiments at the food court that allow customers to customize their hot dog however they want. There are onions, relish, ketchup, and mustard available for your enjoyment. You can add as much toppings as you would like.
The types of soda that are available include Coca-Cola, diet Coke, Sprite, Nestea, Hi-C, and water. Different Costco stores may have different drink options, but these are the standard sodas that are usually available at the soda machine at Costco’s food court.
Though a simple meal, it is hard to beat Costco’s price for this hot-dog-and-drink combination.
The Costco’s food court’s hot dog plus a drink for only $1.50 is great for people on a tight budget looking for some quick, tasty food.
