Better Homes and Gardens Holiday Tablecloth

Better Homes and Gardens

Decorating for Christmas can be so enjoyable, and Walmart products never cease to amaze me. They offer quality at a low price! A few days ago I was shopping for Christmas hand towels, and found a kelly green colored tablecloth that looked perfect for our home! My kitchen and dining room colors are light sage green, and I have not been able to find a green tablecloth that blended well with this color, until I found a Better Homes and Gardens Holiday Tablecloth.

Description

I didn’t even know that Better Homes and Gardens made tablecloths, but this one is their “Holiday Limited Edition 2009” version. The tablecloth did not come in a plastic package, so I was able to feel the material. It simply had a cardboard sleeve over the folded tablecloth.

The back of the packaging reads “Fall in love with your home all over again. Get what you always wanted from the magazine you always loved”. These Better Homes and Gardens products are trademarks of the Meredith Corporation, licensed to and distributed by Walmart Stores, Inc.

This is a beautiful tablecloth! It has an elegant yet simple damask scroll design woven into the fabric, and it is made of 52% cotton and 48% polyester, so it is machine washable on the gentle cycle, and you can tumble it dry on low heat.

Sizes available are 52″ x 70″ oblong, 60″ x 84″ (what I have), 60″ x 102″ (banquet size), and 70″ round. There is a handy conversion chart on the back of the cardboard sleeve that tells what sized table each sized tablecloth will fit.

I Love It!

Before I purchased the Better Homes and Gardens Holiday Tablecloth, I had a green and red Christmas designed tablecloth on my table, which was a few years old. I never received any compliments on that item, but have had rave reviews from friends on the Better Homes and Gardens Holiday Tablecloth.

I have a centerpice in the middle of my table, which consists of a large wide and shallow Party Lite bowl, with a large three wick pillar candle in the center. The candle is surrounded with silk Christmas garland with cranberry colored apples, dark red berries, as well as leaves and pine boughs. The contrast with the darker green tablecloth is striking!

Normally when I take a tablecloth out of it’s packaging, I have to iron it to remove the myriad of wrinkles before it is presentable, but the Better Homes and Gardens Holiday Tablecloth actually came out quite well, no ironing was needed. This gives me a lot of hope that it will come out of my washer and dryer ready to use, with no ironing needed.

I would have expected to pay at least $20 for a tablecloth of this quality, but it retailed for only $10, which is a great price. This will long be treasured as one of my finest Christmas tablecloths, and I can’t wait to serve Christmas day dinner with this item adorning our table.
