Beauty Tips for Older Women

Dyed Hair, Older Woman, Older Women

As I grow older, I find myself wanting to look my best with as little makeup as possible. I am also interested in using all natural products. Perhaps it is the wisdom that supposedly comes with age regarding natural vs. manmade or perhaps it is simply the understanding that heavy, unnatural products on women over 40 look not only uncomfortable, but unpleasant. To look at and to wear, that is. Older women look far more beautiful when their makeup is light and their hair is soft. Surely, I am not the only person who grew up seeing (and still sees) older women with their hair pulled in a tight bun or styled in a horrendous beehive, then sprayed with industrial strength hairspray! And the blood red lipsticks and caky mascara…don’t get me started! That is not the appearance that I want to show the world. I have come across a few tips for looking beautiful naturally that I want to share with you.

Beautiful Older Women Wear Light Make-Up

Nothing ages a woman’s appearance more quickly and drastically than heavy make-up. Beautiful older women avoid heavy make-up at all costs!

Make-up for older women should be liquid, not powder, based.

Beautiful older women wear make-up in neutral shades. Dark shades of make-up age women instantly.

Beautiful older women often use a lip plumper to fill out the thinning appearance of their mouths.

Beautiful older women avoid using eyeliner and they never use dark pencils on their eyebrows, but make certain that the eyebrow pencil matches their hair color. For women who proudly wear their natural gray, eyeshadows of gray and pink are suggested. Again, avoid dark, bold colors at all costs.

Beautiful Older Women Have Supple Skin

Beautiful older women have protected their skin daily with moisturizing lotions, sunscreen and hats.

Beautiful Older Women Have Soft, Touchable Hair

Beautiful older women, if they color their hair, do so discreetly. Softer shades and highlights are enhancing. Stark dark dyes are debilitating to the appearance of health and beauty in older women.

If dyed hair is not desirable, gray hair is not something to be avoided, but embraced by beautiful older women. With the proper cut and style, gray hair is as sexy as the black or blonde of one’s youth! Beautiful older women with gray hair use products that soften their locks and control the oftentimes inevitable wild wiriness of some strands.

Beautiful Older Women Wear Classic Clothing

Fitted jeans, black tops, white tops, slightly flared black slacks, a gorgeous knee-length black cocktail dress, all of these look stunning on the beautiful older woman. Color and flare can be added with accessories such as scarves, jewelry and hair clips.

Beautiful Older Women Exude Sex Appeal and Confidence

Beautiful older women do not attempt to appear or behave like twenty year olds. Neither do they try to hide their assets nor their femininity. A beautiful older woman has experience behind her that gives her a glow of self-respect and confidence. That glow, dear reader, is irresistible to men and women alike. Yes, there is a sexual draw, but there is also a draw to the depth of understanding and intelligence that a beautiful older woman emits by the way she carries herself. Men want to be her lover and women want to be her friend.

The beautiful older woman exudes sex through her choice of attire. Cleavage is not something to be hidden simply because you have hit your 50th birthday. It is still meant to be shared, albeit tastefully. After all, a beautiful older woman is not a tramp.

A beautiful older woman’s sex appeal is evident in her walk. She has superb posture and holds her chin up. She is not afraid of eye contact, nor does she cower from interpersonal interaction.

Beautiful older women, dear readers, rock!
