Alli Diet Pills: A Review

I recently decided after separating from my husband that it was my time to shine, in as many ways as possible. I’ve struggled with weight over the last 8 to 9 years and after having 3 children I’ve only gotten heavier, I haven’t broke 200 even while pregnant, so its not like I’m overly overweight. I’m just overweight from having 3 children over the course of the last 6 years.

After giving birth on February 12th, 2009, I have said I was going to lose weight, but I really haven’t done anything to really do so. I stopped going to Curves because I was depressed, and I wasn’t see the results I wanted to see.

Well its been almost 6 months since I gave birth to my little one and 2 weeks ago I decided to try Alli diet pills to help jump start my weight loss.

I suggest you purchase the starter kit which comes with ..
1. 60 to 90 capsules (depending on which starter kit you get)
2. Comparison Guide (that discusses things about setting goals, doing physical activity, and getting over bumps in the road)
3. A welcome guide
4. A daily pocket size journal (to keep track of what you eat and drink each day)
5. A calorie and Fat Counter (it includes 25 fast food restaurants)
6. A healthy eating guide (which gives you common sense ways to plan healthy, low fat meals, for eating in or out)
7. Pill Shuttle (for up to 3 pills)
8. Quick Fact Cards (Pocket sized cards that have the key do’s and don’ts of the alli program)

You are supposed to take a Multi-vitamin each night while you are doing the Alli Program, because Alli can block several vitamins from being absorbed by the body.

You will also get the best results if you eat a low fat or fat free diet, while taking these pills!

Let’s start my “review” with the actual price, I purchased the 90 Capsule bottle (starter kit) at Wal-mart with a $10 off coupon from the All You magazine that is found only at Wal-mart, the price was $35.00 or $45.00 ( or something of that Nature), So I spent between $25 and $35.00 on this bottle of pills.

So if you plan on taking these for a long period of time to help you lose weight then this might be a very expensive habit.

During the 1st week, I found it really hard to remember to take the pills, because I’m not used to taking pills on a regular basis, so this might not be for someone who forgets to take pills on a regular basis, since you need take the pills regularly in order for them to be the most effective.

I read all the books before I started taking the pills because I didn’t want to have any adverse side effects to the medication, as they can give you some horrible diarrhea, gas with oily spotting, and a few other things. I suggest that you read all the material that comes in the starter pack before you start taking these pills!

The key to keep all this from happening is by limiting your fat intake to 15 grams of fat PER meal or less, every day, all day! If you take in more than 15 grams of fat per meal you will have these nasty side effects! So you really need to watch what you eat, unless you really want to have horrible diarrhea.

In my first week without taking pills at all three meals, each day I’ve lost 4 lbs, and I really didn’t do much of anything exercise wise. So these pills do work with little to no exercise, but you will get better results with the exercise.

I’ve started watching what I eat, and started eating more fruits and veggies, less starchy food, and started eating 3 (60 calorie) yogurts a day (breakfast, lunch, and snack) to help me from over eating when I want to binge eat.

So far this is my second week into taking the pills and I haven’t had any issues with the diarrhea, so as long as you keep within the limits of 15 grams of fat PER meal then you will be fine too!

Since I haven’t gotten to the end of my second week, I cannot give you a count of how much weight I’ve lost this week, but I’m looking at 4 to 6 lbs, over the course of this week, even without exercise.

With this diet pill I don’t feel jittery, lost, confused, unfocused, nor will your heart race while taking this medication. So if you’ve had issues in the past with any of those symptoms with other diet pills, you shouldn’t have any with the Alli pills!

If you decide to take these pills please follow all the instructions that are packaged in the starter kit (with your starter kit you get a code to use on the internet for special information on their website and to track your weight loss)!
If you take them like they are supposed to be taken you should be rather happy with the results!
