A Review of Nissin Noodle Soup Bowls

Many women and men are familiar with Nissin noodles. This is a popular brand that makes Ramen noodles and Cup Noodles. They are used widely because the food can be prepared almost immediately by adding water. Nissin also makes noodle soup, which comes in four different flavors. These flavors include chicken noodle, Minestrone, Creamy chicken and creamy mushroom. I purchased a few Nissin noodle soups and was disappointed with the results. Here is a consumer review of Nissin Noodle Soup Bowls. This review includes an emphasis on the Chicken noodle soup flavor.

Health Factor
The Chicken noodle flavor from Nissin noodle soup bowls has 250 calories. It also contains a minimal amount of fat and saturated fat. These Nissin noodle soup bowls have a varied amount of nutritional value. This includes Vitamin C, Iron and Calcium. They are a good source of Vitamin A. However, the Chicken noodle flavor from Nissin noodle soup bowls is loaded with sodium.

One full serving will bring you over half of the daily value, which is something worth considering. If the sodium was decreased significantly, these Nissin noodle soup bowls would be healthy. Men and women who have weight problems and other health conditions should be cautious before purchasing this food product. The amount of sodium far surpasses any percentage of vitamins and other nutritional value contained in Chicken noodle selections from Nissin noodle soup bowls.

Quality
Judging by the size of its container, you would think that Nissin Noodle Soup contains a lot of food. That is not the case when it comes to this food product. In fact, I felt like money was wasted on Nissin Noodle Soup once it was prepared. The term “Chicken” is a joke because there were no visible chunks of chicken in this product. There were a few small pieces that resemble chicken pieces, but that was the extent of the chicken content. Campbell’s chicken noodle soup even has larger pieces than were found in the Nissin noodle soup bowls.

This product comes in a large bowl yet, includes an insulting amount of food. It had a small amount of rotini noodles and an overabundance of carrots, celery, onions and potatoes. The package also includes one “flavor” pouch, one “vegetable” pouch and one “Finishing Touch” flavor packet. The first flavor pouch is in powder form while the finishing touch packet comes out in a strange liquid form. It should not take all of these different items to microwave a bowl of soup. If that is the case, you might as well cook homemade soup using your own ingredients.

Price
Nissin Noodle Soup bowls costs about $1.59, which was initially acceptable because it its size. Since you don’t really get the perceived amount and quality of food, this price is too much for Nissin Noodle Soup bowls. Instead, this item should be as inexpensive as the company’s other products. Even the cheapest Cup Noodles and Ramen Noodles taste much better than the soup. If there was more food inside the bowl, the price would be fine. Since that is not the case, there is no need to pay over $1 for the Chicken noodle flavor from Nissin Noodle Soup. Even if there was more food, it would still be a bad product. You can find out why in the next section.

Taste Test
Food products that can be cooked quickly are popular because we live in a fast paced society. However, all food products that are done in 5 minutes or less do not produce the same results. That is the case with these Nissin noodle soup bowls. It contained lots of vegetables that tasted adequate. However, the ingredients were not combined well.

The Chicken noodle flavor from Nissin noodle soup bowls tasted bad. It had too much onions and similar flavors in it. I did not even finish the first Nissin noodle soup bowl that I purchased. Instead, I threw it in the trash and made an emergency trip to the grocery store for something else. To this day, I still have Nissin noodle soup bowls. They were not thrown away because they were paid for. However, they have not been eaten because they taste horrible. Some of the ingredients may be used for arts and crafts. I would not serve this to children or even feed it to a dog.

Verdict
There are about a dozen red flags that I should have paid attention to before eating the Chicken noodle flavor from Nissin noodle soup bowls. For starters, the three so-called “flavor” packets spelled “cheap” all over. Do not be fooled by the flavor packets that you may have enjoyed with Ramen noodles. This is an entirely different story when it comes to Nissin noodle soup bowls. The most important information to take away from this review is that if you want to try Nissin noodle soup bowls, only buy one.

Do not think that they taste the same as Cup Noodles, Ramen Noodles or any other enjoyable product that you may have eaten before. Nissin noodle soup bowls are completely different in quality and taste. The difference is significant and may cause you to continue buying the same soup products like Campbell’s, Progresso, Healthy Choice or others instead of trying new ones. Since everyone’s preference is different, you or your kids may find Nissin noodle soup bowls to be rather tasty. Still, I find that very unlikely which is why I urge you to purchase only one first and do not waste your money buying numerous Nissin noodle soup bowls at once.
