How to Stop Bloating

Bloating

Major bloating is a problem I’ve dealt with for a while now. Looking like I’ve gained twenty pounds in one week when I really haven’t gained any at all can indeed be very frustrating. Likewise, it’s extremely uncomfortable and at times, even painful. If you’ve experienced this kind of bloating, then you know exactly what I’m talking about.

For a while, I’ve been closely observing my eating habits because I believe that my diet is the underlying factor here. What seems to trigger bloating? So far, I’ve come up with a few suspects.

Avoid Dairy Products
Dairy products include yogurt, milk, and cheese. If these are in your diet and you’re experiencing bloating, there’s a good chance that you’ve developed a Lactose Intolerance. If your bloating is accompanied by pain, diarrhea, or vomiting the possibility of being lactose intolerant is even greater. People who experience this condition are said to be unable to digest a certain kind of sugar found in dairy called lactose. Because many of us can only tolerate small portions of dairy foods without having any side effects, its not until we consume too much that we’re able to determine the cause. I would recommend keeping a track of your dairy intake throughout the week making sure that it doesn’t go beyond what you can handle.

Avoid Rice
Ever since I began eating rice on a daily basis, I’ve encountered some serious bloating and constipation problems. There are two possibilities here: it could either be caused by a possible rice allergy or by me swallowing too much at once. Either way, its probably a good idea to start going light on the rice.

Cut Back on Sugar
If you’re like me, cutting back on sugar filled desserts and candies is no easy task. Too much sugar is not good for you and it can cause major bloating as a result. This being said, do what you can to cut back on your daily intake of sugar as it will greatly assist you in fighting off gas.

These are the problems. Now what are the solutions?

Cranberry Juice
Cranberry juice will help to relieve your constipation problem which in turn will help you lose the bloating. Though admittedly, this drink will do better with your stomach than it will on your taste buds, many people say it gave them amazing results.

Fiber Foods
Additionally, eat foods with fiber daily. Even a small amount can go a long away. Expose yourself to foods high in fiber like cereals, whole wheat bread, and snack bars to get the best results.

Water
When you don’t drink enough water, your body thinks you don’t have a sufficient supply . As a result, your body begins storing the little water you drink. This condition called water retention causes bloating. Contrary to your intake of foods, the more water you consume the less you store so drinking more will actually help you eliminate bloating, as well as constipation.

Good luck in your battle with bloating and I hope that with the help of these tips, you’re able to see a difference soon.
