Snow White, Disney’s fairest little princess, ate the wicked queen-witch’s poisoned apple and fell under a spell. She only awakened when Prince Charming found her in the forest, not far from the cottage of the seven dwarfs, and kissed her to break the spell.
Set little party princesses a-bobbing with a big bucket of apples. A new, clean plastic muck bucket or large wash tub are ideal for this game. Fill the bucket with water. Toss in enough apples for each party princess. Instruct birthday party attendees to take turns bobbing for the apples by folding their hands behind their backs and trying to pick up apples with their mouths.
Disney Princess Birthday Party Activity: Cinderella’s Glass Slipper Relay
This simple relay race offers each Disney princess birthday party participant to pretend to be Cinderella, all dressed up for the fancy ball – at least, for a few moments.
Assemble several piles of dress-up clothing. Each pile should include a crown or tiara, an adult-sized gown and a pair of high heeled shoes.
Divide birthday party attendees into teams, assigning one team to each pile. One by one, the party princesses on each team will dress up, run to a designated point (such as around a chair or a safety cone), run back to the starting line and remove the costuming. Each party princess, in turn, will follow the same pattern. The first team to finish wins.

Fill a small, molded plastic kiddie pool with water and cooked spinach linguini (see photo). Toss in a couple of rolls of copper pennies. Give each party princess a small paper cup. Instruct the young birthday party participants to reach into the slimy seaweed and pick up as many pennies as they can grab. Set a kitchen timer, and begin.

The gypsy Esmeralda was the heroine of Disney’s animated film, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, befriending Quasimodo. What little princess wannabees would not want to play Esmeralda, dancing and making music with her tambourine, at a Disney princess birthday party?
Use a hole puncher to make evenly spaced holes in several plain paper plates. You will need two punched paper plates for each party princess.
Give each birthday party participant a pair of punched paper plates, a long piece of string and a handful of dry, uncooked navy beans. Instruct the little party princesses to string the paper plates together to form Esmeralda’s tambourine.
Play your favorite songs from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, as the party princesses dance and shake their tambourines.
Disney Princess Birthday Party Activity: Jasmine’s Musical Carpets
Jasmine, the sultan’s spunky daughter, was the starring princess of Disney’s Aladdin. This Disney princess birthday party game lets little girls pretend to fly on Jasmine and Aladdin’s flying carpets.
Basically, this birthday party game is an adapted form of the traditional Musical Chairs.
Set out several flat place mats, which will serve as individual carpets. (Carpet samples also work well.) The carpets should total one less than the number of participants.
Play songs from Disney’s Aladdin movie. Each time the music stops, the party princesses must try to sit quickly, one to a carpet. One participant, of course, will be left out. Remove one carpet for each round, continuing until one winner remains.
Disney Princess Birthday Party Activity: Mulan’s Matching Game
The traditional matchmaker may have had her own plans for young Mulan, the title character in Disney’s animated feature, Mulan. However, birthday party participants may enjoy playing a different sort of matching game.
Make BINGO-like cards by downloading several small clip-art images and creating grid-like layouts. Use the graphic design or word processing program of your choice. Make one card for each Disney princess birthday party attendee, and be sure to make each card unique, using a variety of images.
Make individual drawing cards as well, creating one little card for each clip-art image that appears on any of the cards. Place these in a bucket or basket.
Distribute small piles of silver-wrapped Hershey kisses to all players.
Draw out little cards, one by one, and reveal each image. The first party princess to fill a row of pictures on her card (across, down or diagonally) wins. Of course, all party princesses may keep their kiss candies.

In Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, Princess Aurora fell into a deep slumber after pricking her finger on a magic spinning wheel. The princess, of course, only awakened when she received a kiss from Prince Philip.
This Disney princess party game adapts the perennial party favorite, Pin the Tail on the Donkey.
Draw a poster-sized picture of Prince Philip’s famous kiss. Here’s a simple way to make the Sleeping Beauty poster. Select an online coloring page (such as this one), and print it onto clear transparency film. Use an overhead projector to enlarge the image, so you can trace it onto a sheet of poster board.
Use markers, crayons or paints to fill in the image.
Cut out large pairs of lips from red construction paper. You will need enough to give each party princess one pair of red lips. Stick a loop of tape on the back of each pair of red lips.
Blindfold the party princesses, one at a time, and see who can stick the red lips closest to the right spot on the kissing poster.
