5 Best Water Parks in Connecticut

Middlebury, Rollercoasters

Everyone knows the summer can have some brutally hot summer days. A water park can be a great place to take a break from the blazing heat and let the kids have a little fun at the same time. Here are the best 5 water parks in and near Connecticut.

# 1 Six Flags New England
Agawam, MA
Price – 41.99$ online
51.99$ at the park

Hands down Six Flags New England is the best water park near Connecticut as well as threw out New England. Just a hop over the border near Springfield MA, Six Flags provides tons of roller coasters and rides, as well as includes free admission to the Water Park with purchase of park ticket. It cant get any better than that go buy a ticket ride a couple roller coasters and splash around in the water park. Also the water park is absolutely amazing.

# 2 Lake Compounce
Bristol, Ct
Price – 36.99$

Similar to Six flags the admission includes access to the park as well as the water park. This has always been a great amusement park for Connecticut, and is closer than Six Flags. However, the park itself is not nearly as large or better rides, but for the price and location it offers a great opportunity to escape the heat and work. The water park is a decent size, and one advantage is having the natural lake as part of the park.

# 3 Quassy Amusement Park
Middlebury, Ct
Price – 3.50$

Quassy will always have a place in my heart, with decent rides, amazng prices, and the perfect place for younger kids to go. Quasssy has never been the park to build massive rollercoasters, and fast rides, but rather a place for the younger kids to go and have a great time. If your looking to take your young ones to a waterpark, you cant beat qaussy with a ticket prices at an amazing 3.50 cents. Even with the low ticket price its still a nice park, plus its on a large lake. Check out their site at www.quassy.com

# 4 Coco Key Water Resort
Waterbury, Ct
Price – 19$ weekday
29$ Weekend

Coco Key has up and down reviews, but has a reasonable price as well as a reasonable size water park. It would not be my first pick in comparison to the others. However, it has one key feature that puts it on my top 5. Coco Key is open all years since its located inside a hotel. This makes it a great place to visit in the winter, and for only 19$ a quick swim in a sunny 84 degree room on a 29 degree day doesn’t sound so bad. Check it out at www.cocokeywaterbury.com

# 5 Water Wizz
East Wareham, Ma
Price – 30 $

Water Wizz is not located in Connecticut, but if your looking for that great huge water park, where the massive slides are and the best attractions, Water Wizz is defiantly worth going to. I absolutely suggest going if your looking for a great water park, and its at a reasonable price 30$. The only reason I dropped Water Wizz down the list is that its located far into Rhode Island, but for anyone in Ct it could become a great day trip. Check it out at www.waterwizz.com
