Iowa, in the heart of America, celebrates the birth of America with small town festivals and fireworks. Communities will gather and enjoy food, music, and the bursts of color in the sky. Just across the Mississippi River, in Galena, Illinois there will be fireworks and a rodeo over the weekend.Following are some of the fireworks displays in Iowa. Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival June 19 -July 4. The Freedom Festival is a 16 day festival that features a musical lineup of Freedom Rocks!, Patriotic Pops and Classic Rock. The festival features concerts, parades, races and other events.

Fireworks Over Des Moines. 4th of July The event begins at 7 pm, with family fun, entertainment nd Fireworks over Des Moines launched from the Des Moines Marina Pier. The Fireworks show will begin at approximately 10;15 pm. Concerts featuring Buck & Elizabeth and Billy Shew

Fireworks on the Mississippi, July 3. Dubuque Jaycees-Radio Dubuque Fireworks. The Dubuque Fireworks on the Mississippi is a full day of family fun and entertainment. The celebration features air show, children’s rides, food, music and more. The air show features the Army Golden Knights Skydiving Team. Chinook Helicopter will land at Star Cinema. The A-10 Warthog will be making it’s lat public appearance KAT FM will air the pilots live of the roday. . Fireworks are fired off at 9:45 pm. Organizers recommend getting there early to make a night of it.

Galena, Illinois
Across the Mississippi River is the historic town of Galena. Galena will have Fourth of July festivities on July 4 and Rodeo Days July 607.
July 4: Parade, Fireworks
July 6-7 Rodeo Days at Eagle Ridge. The annual Shenandoah Rodeo Days will be featured t Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa’s Shenandoah Riding Center in Galena. The show, “Bulls ‘n’ Broncs: Outlaws of the Rodeo Tour 2007,” is sponsored by Three Hills Rodeo and Outlaws of Rodeo. The rodeo features pro rodeo announcer Chris Pyle. The rodeo starts at 7:30 pm on Friday, July 6. There is a full schedule of competitive events, family entertainment. The rodeo includes bareback and bull riding, clowns, comedy trick riders, and more The free barn dance is featured at the Shenandoah Riding Center is featured each evening after the rodeo performance.
