These drink recipes are personal favorites, and are not strictly for Christmas or New Years Eve, rum is good any time!!
Rum and Coke
1.5 ounces Rum
5 ounces Cola
Mix preferred brand of rum and cola of choice in a highball glass 2/3 full of ice. Stir mixture and serve. Diet cola can be substituted if desired. Dress with a wedge of lime.
Cuba Libre
2 ounces Rum (White)
3.75 ounce Lime Juice
5 ounces Cola
In a highball glass combine the twist of lime and lime juice. Add rum and cola and enjoy!
1.5 ounce Dark Rum
1 dash Brandy
1 whole Egg White
1 whole Egg Yolk
1 teaspoon Sugar
Beat sugar into the egg yolk, add the rum and mix in the egg white. Pour into a mug and fill it with boiling water. Add brandy of your choice and garnish with grated nutmeg.
Rum Screwdriver
1.5 ounces Rum (White)
5 ounces Orange Juice
Half fill glass with ice and pour rum of choice over top. Add fresh orange juice, stir and serve.
Mojito
2 ounces White Rum
.5 ounce Lime Juice
1 teaspoon Sugar
6 whole Mint Leaf
2 ounces Soda Water
Put sugar and juice into a glass and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Rub/crush lime leaves on the inside of the glass and throw away scraps. Fill the glass with crushed ice and rum and stir. Top off the glass with soda water and garnish with a mint sprig.
Rum Runner
1.5 ounces Rum (White)
.25 ounce Banana Liqueur
.25 ounce Blackberry Brandy
.5 teaspoon Grenadine
5 ounces Sweet & Sour Mix
Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and strain into a glass.
Piña Colada
3 ounces Rum (White)
3 tablespoons Coconut Milk
3 tablespoons Pineapple (crushed)
Place all ingredients into a blender with 2 cups of crushed ice. Blend on high briefly. Strain mixture into a margarita glass and garnish with pineapple.
Mai-Tai
2 ounces White Rum
2 ounces Dark Rum
.5 ounce Amaretto
1 ounce Triple Sec
1 ounce Orange Juice
1 ounce Pineapple Juice
Shake all ingredients together in a cocktail shaker, strain into a glass filled with ice and serve!
Zombie
1 ounce Rum (White)
.5 ounce Créme de Noyeaux
1.5 ounces Sweet & Sour Mix
.5 ounce Triple Sec
1.5 ounces Orange Juice
.5 ounce 151 Proof Rum
Shake all ingredients but the 151 proof rum with ice and strain into a glass over ice cubes. Slowly pour the 151 proof rum into the glass to float it on top. Can be garnished with a cherry if desired.
Rum Eggnog
1 ounce Light Rum
3 ounces Milk
.5 teaspoon Powdered Sugar
.5 whole Egg
Shake all items with ice and strain into a glass. Make more than one at a time so that you don’t have to divide the egg. Dress with sprinkled nutmeg to taste.
Daiquiri
2 ounces Rum (Light)
1 ounce Lime Juice
.5 teaspoon Sugar Syrup
Shake ingredients vigorously with ice. Strain into a glass, garnish with an orange slice, serve.
Rum Collins
2 ounces Rum (White)
1 tablespoon Lime Juice
1 teaspoon Powdered Sugar
4 ounces Carbonated Water
Shake the rum, lime juice and sugar with ice and strain into a glass over ice cubes. Top with carbonated water and stir. Garnish with an orange slice and a cherry.
Hot Buttered Rum
1 teaspoon Sugar
.5 teaspoon Butter
1 ounce Light Rum
4 whole Clove
4 ounces Water
Mix in a mug sugar, butter, rum and cloves. Top with boiling water and stir.
