Wilton Station at Wilton Manors: Focused on Luxury and Location

Southern Cuisine

Wilton Station can be summarized as sophisticated village living in Wilton Manors. Situated in the heart of downtown Wilton Manors, a block east of 5-Points, this newly constructed luxury neighborhood embodies an interesting style of design and architecture with a homey atmosphere and luxurious amenities.

Wilton Manors is surrounded by the city of Fort Lauderdale. The location primarily attracts successful young professionals and has a healthy gay community. There are a plethora of activities for people of all interests and ages. However, as of the 2010 census, less than 18% of households had children, giving the small 11,600 resident city more of a adult-oriented vibe.

At Wilton Station, you’ll be welcomed every evening by a member of the security staff, who are friendly to residents and menacing to unwanted guests. You’ll float past the sparkling fountains and lush landscaping located all over the property. You’ll spend the evening enjoying the outdoors in one of the many riverfront gazebos or benches, or adorning the 300-foot waterfront boardwalk. You can spend your Saturday’s kayaking up the river, taking in some on-site shopping at one of the many boutique retailers, or lounging by the luxurious, resort-style pool. Nights can be spent dancing away in the humongous club house when you throw lavish soirees for you and friends to enjoy.

Location is an important aspect of residing in Wilton Station, including its close proximity to prized Wilton Manors bakery and coffee shop, Storks . Storks has a fun, small town feeling-as the baristas really do know your name and your order. They feature the most delectable home-made desserts, delicious lattes, fresh brewed coffees, teas, gourmet salads and tapas, as well as interesting and eclectic wines.

Right down the road on Wilton Drive are a number of night clubs, bars, boutiques and restaurants for residential enjoyment. You see, Wilton Manors is a town where walking is the dominant mode of transportation. Gay friendly nightclubs Georgie’s Alibi and Atomic Boom are situated in the 2200 block of Wilton Drive, along with boutique clothing stores, pizzerias, ice cream shoppes, and more.

A block further down the road is a restaurant I recently stumbled upon, Rodeo . Coined as ‘traditional southern cuisine’ I was inspired by their short, but interesting list of beers, microbrews, and organic brews. How about a beer-ga-rita? The fresh Guacamole with crabmeat is worth mentioning, and enjoying again. As well as the piece-de-resistance: the Trio of Macaroni and Cheese: a sharp cheddar and bacon Mac and Cheese that melts in your mouth; a Southwest Mac and Cheese that has a nice smokey bite from roasted pablano peppers; and a smoked Gouda Mac well worth the calories.

After an eventful and satisfying night out on the town, heading back to the Station is always a breeze, as it is situated a block east of 5-points: the intersection of 5 different local thru-ways and meeting place for many. Wilton Station is a 6 minute ride to the ocean, 5 minutes from Downtown Fort Lauderdale, and 15 minutes from the Fort Lauderdale Airport.

Wilton Station boasts 272 luxury residences in six residential buildings with a number of floor plans ranging from about 1400 square feet to about 2700 square feet. Floorplans are available for primarily two-three bedroom units, some boasting over 600 sq ft of terraces and balconies.
