Where to Rent a Bike in Outer Banks, North Carolina

Beach Rentals, Obx, Ocracoke Island, Training Wheels

The Outer Banks of North Carolina is a good place to rent a bike to experience the beautiful ocean and captivating land. Why stay in your car to tour the Outer Banks of North Carolina, when you can rent a bike? Here are three different businesses (with one of them having four locations) where you can rent a bike in advance via phone and/or online in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Duck Village Outfitters

This Outer Banks of North Carolina bike rental shop has the following pricing, with the first price being the daily and the second price being the weekly price:

Geared Mountain Bikes: $12, $45
Beach Cruisers: $10, $35
Kids Bikes: $8, $25

All bikes have quick release seats, according to the outfitter’s online brochure. It’s best to specify in your reservation if you need training wheels. Helmets and locks are available for rent at $1 a day and $2 a week each. You can make reservations via the email address listed below or by calling. I was advised in early January 2008 about a new website update coming where you’ll be able to make online reservations.

At their site, click on their “Rentals” link for a coupon that’s 10 per cent off for a bike rental. The coupon also says that they’ll match any price as this bicycle rental place guarantees the best prices for rentals. Ask about their free delivery.
