Subway is one of my favorite restaurants to eat at when I am looking for a filling meal. Part of the reason for this is that they make your sandwich for you with fresh vegetables while you wait. One of my favorite sandwiches to get at Subway is the chicken teriyaki sub. Believe it or not, I have purchased this sandwich from Subway over a thousand times over the years. My favorite type of bread to get with the chicken teriyaki is the plain Italian bread. I use to get the hearty Italian bread, but Subway discontinued it about one year ago.
I always like to get my sandwich from Subway toasted because it makes the bread much crispier. I’ve used several different types of cheeses with the teriyaki sandwich, but my all time favorite is the provolone. I tend to get lettuce, onion, tomato, and hot peppers on top of my sandwich each time I eat there. The hot peppers really go a long way in making the sandwich a little bit tastier. There are two types of dressings that I like t o get with the teriyaki sandwich. These two types of dressings are honey mustard and the southwest chipotle dressings. Sometimes a combine the two dressings and put both on the same sandwich. Other times I will only use one of these dressings at the same time. In my opinion the best subway sandwich is by far the chicken teriyaki.
Another one of the best subway sandwiches is the southwest steak. If you are a steak person then this is definitely the sandwich for you. The meat is shredded steak and you really get a large serving of it when you purchase a sandwich from Subway. When I get the southwest steak sandwich from Subway I usually like to put some tomato and onion on top of my sandwich. For some reason, getting lettuce with this sandwich just doesn’t fit right with me. The best type of dressing to get with this sandwich is the southwest chipotle dressing in my opinion.
Either way, there are many different Subway sandwiches out there to choose from. In my opinion the chicken teriyaki sandwich ranks up there at number one with the southwest steak following close behind. If you plan on eating at Subway anytime soon then I would strongly recommend trying out these two tasty sandwiches, you won’t be sorry!
