What to Expect at the Melting Pot Restaurant

Fondue, Melting Pot, The Melting Pot

The Melting Pot restaurants are a rapidly growing franchise in the U.S., the fondue place where it’s time to ‘Dip into something different,’ according to the company’s slogan. If you’re tired of the usual restaurant fare, The Melting Pot is an opportunity to dig into fondue plates and platters, and enjoy a unique cocktail or two.

It’s the latest craze in concept restaurant dining, and has become a popular spot for date night, get-togethers, and special celebrations. The gourmet delights allow you to enjoy serving-less platters of sweet and savory fondue. There’s even opportunity to stick with your diet if you prefer to go fondue-light for the night. Here’s what you’ll find at this popular franchise:

The Melting Pot Experience: What to Expect
The Melting Pot prides itself on providing guests with a four-course dining experience. ‘Fondue is a fun and interactive dining experience’, according to restaurant’s website, and its this theme that sets The Melting Pot apart from other concept restaurants and trendy bistros.

You’ll be seated at an oversized table or cozy booth at your favorite melting Pot restaurant, a dining room decorated with dark mahogany décor and swanky amber lamps. It’s a chic, trendy, and comfortable spot that’s fit for almost all tastes, and it’s easy to see why it appeals to couples and groups of girlfriends on any given weekend.

Your journey to fondue land begins with the presentation of the multi-page menu. It’s fourteen pages of instructions and guidelines for creating your perfect fondue experience, but you’ll learn the basics from your server as you get situated. The premise is simple; your dinner follows a four-course setup where you choose an appetizer (cheese fondue), a leafy green salad (no fondue necessary), an entrée with your preferred cooking style (Mojo seems to be a favorite), and dessert (a classic chocolate fondue).

The Melting Pot Menu
The Big Night Out is the specialty of all four courses with almost two dozen different entrée choices; it’s priced at $85 per person in most markets, and ensures you’ll enjoy the original Melting Pot experience.

Of course, you can choose each item individually as a meal instead.

The Cheese Fondue features a choice of Cheddar Cheese, Fiesta Cheese, Traditional Swiss, Wisconsin Trio, Spinach Artichoke, or the featured cheese of the day.

You have a choice of five salads that come with The Melting Pot’s homemade dressings; these are served in generous portions on a dinner plate.

For Entrees, you have a choice of entrees for two, or individual entrees. The specialties here are the Surf & Turf selections, Land & Sea (New York Strip, chicken, and shrimp), and Twin Lobster Tails for that special night out. Filet mignon medallions and marinated sirloin have also found their way onto the fondue list.

And of course, there’s dessert. The Chocolate Fondue Dessert is a wish come true for every chocoholic, a reason to head out on a gloomy night for a quick pick-me-up. Choose from decadent fondue concoctions such as the Disaronno Meltdown, Chocolate S’mores, Flaming Turtle, or the Yin & Yang (half dark and half whit chocolate swirled together). Since you need something to dip into this dessert with (or do you?…), a platter of fresh strawberries, cheesecake, bananas, marshmallows, brownies, and pound cake are served on the side.

A meal at The Melting Pot really is one of a kind, and a great place for a romantic date, a girl’s night out, or just for toasting to a special occasion. Be sure to order the Yin & Yang martini as you perfect your fondue technique, and you’ll be well prepared for a memorable and unique dining experience.
