Two teams that could be playing themselves right out of the NFL Playoffs this season both need this game though, so maybe it could get interesting after all.

The rest of the Sunday games hold quite a few matchups that don’t really play into affecting the standings unless some upsets start taking place. We think that one of those upsets will be in the Washington vs. Tampa Bay game, with Tampa Bay losing and potentially falling out of the playoff race with just three games to go. Another potential upset could be in the Cincinnati vs. Pittsburgh game, but the Steelers defense might be able to win that one on their own. Cincinnati has been close to winning quite a few games this year, only to come up short when it mattered the most. Maybe now that it doesn’t matter at all, they will actually post a win again.

The Sunday night game on NBC this week is Philadelphia vs. Dallas, pitting the two playoff teams from the NFC East last season. Now Philadelphia is playing the role of dominant offense in the division, and the Cowboys are looking to play the role of spoiler. With new coaching leading them well, this Dallas team might be interesting to watch again on primetime. NBC has to be extremely thankful for that, as this could have been a game where fans simply tuned out.
