Like thousands upon thousands just like me, I am a proud graduate from THE Pennsylvania State University. Growing up in PA and then attending Penn State allowed me to watch every Penn State football game that took place during the first 22 years of my life. Then the (now official) wife and I decided to make the move to the NYC/NJ metro area. Granted, there are actually a ton of Penn State fans in my town and finding a bar that has college football games, including Penn State games, isn’t too hard. I like to stay home during certain weekends, though. Fortunately, there are a couple of ways for me to watch college football online free.
Watch College Football Online Free Step 1: Downloading the programs
These are the exact same programs listed in my Watch NFL Games Online For Freepiece. Those wanting to watch college football games online should download Stream Torrent, TV Ants and TVU Player. Stream Torrent is the program that you will use most of the time but I still recommend grabbing each of these programs just to be safe. You don’t want to be wasting time downloading a program at the final moment when you’re trying to watch a college football game online free.
Watch College Football Online Free Step 2: Find links
This can be a little confusing once college basketball starts. The reason is that all college sports are grouped onto one Web page. In order to find links that will let you watch college football online free, you must select the link that is labeled “NCAA Football Streaming.” Remember that college football games are played every day between Tuesday-Saturday once conference play starts, allowing you to watch college football online free five days of the week (at least). You must click the streaming link for that particular week of action, however, to watch college football online free.
Watch College Football Online Free Step 3: Choose your college football game
College football is different than the NFL in that there are many, many more college football games on a weekend. This means you will need to scroll down the streaming page listed in the previous step and read over many games until you find the college football game you want to watch online free. Click the link for your college football game and one of two things will happen. The game will open in a media player you downloaded, the game will open in Windows Media Player or it will open in a new Web window. The college football game will then begin playing once you click the link. There is no way of knowing how the game will open, however, until game day.
Links for watching college football online can also be located at the Channel Surfing website. Unlike the steps listed above, you can use Channel Surfing to watch college football online without downloading any programs. The problem with this option, however, is that games often stop streaming when many people are watching that particular college football game online free. This is very problematic, especially if you want to watch a popular or high-interest college football game online free.
