Vitamin E Skin Care Cream: Product Review

We’re trying to cut costs on everything in our household, so price is a huge deciding factor with anything I purchase. About a month ago, I ran out of face cream and was browsing the aisles at Wal-Mart looking for a good moisturizer that wasn’t too expensive. I was about to give up when I spotted a two-pack of a product called Vitamin E Skin Care Cream made by a company called Fruit of the Earth.

I crouched down to get it off the bottom shelf, saw the $3.99 price tag, and almost immediately put it back. I figured a product that cheap couldn’t be a very good – especially for two 4 oz. jars. Something made me keep reading though. The front of the plastic white jar said this cream moisturizes, soothes, and protects for softer younger looking skin. I looked on the back of the label and see that it can be used on hands, face, and all over the body. Then I notice that it’s completely made in the USA by an American owned and operated company located in Fort Worth, Texas. That did it – I was sold! I bought my Walmart treasure and headed home.

Later that evening, it was time to give the Vitamin E Skin Care Cream by Fruit of the Earth a test drive. I opened the jar and was greeted by a pleasant looking white thick textured cream. When I first applied it to my face it felt too thick and a bit sticky. I continued to smooth it over my skin and it soaked in quickly, leaving my face feeling refreshed. I also rubbed some on my knees and elbows because they were a bit chapped, and got the same refreshing feeling. The product is thick enough to where a little bit goes a long way. I’ve been using it for about a month now and can barely tell it’s been used at all, so it will last a long time.

Anyone who reads my product reviews knows that I do not like a scent in any product that is going to be on my face and under my nose. As soon as I started spreading the Vitamin E Skin Care Cream around my nose area, I noticed an unpleasant scent. It was a bit of an oily odor, similar to the smell you get when opening a bottle of olive oil. The smell dissipated quickly though and wasn’t bothersome enough to where I wouldn’t use the product again.

Bottom line
The Vitamin E Skin Care Cream by Fruit of the Earth gets a 5 out of 5 star rating from me for several reasons. 1) Good value for the money – I got two 4 oz. jars for only $4.00 and it lasts a long time. 2) Manufactured totally and completely 100% in the USA and I’m supporting American business when I buy it. 3) Actually lives up to it’s promise of moisturizing and soothing the skin. 4) Soaks into the skin quickly and doesn’t leave behind a sticky or oily residue. 5) Available at Walmart and is budget-friendly.
