This historic, secluded farmhouse lies on 100 acres of land and is just minutes away from Schroon Lake, or if you prefer, half an hour from Lake George or an hour from Lake Placid. Outdoor activities of all sorts are available (hiking, swimming, boating, skiing, etc.) depending on what time of year you go.
The house itself has three bedrooms and has been newly renovated. Air conditioning, cable TV, and private bathrooms are some of the amenities, and of course a country breakfast is included!

– Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa: A comfy resort off of Lake Placid (starting at about $300)
This resort sits on 8 acres on a beautiful lake front, just walking distance from the cozy little village. This place is great for both romantic getaways or family vacations, as with the beautiful scenery surrounding and variety of activities, there is something for everyone.
Like a hotel, Mirror Lake Inn hosts a variety of rooms, ranging from basic to the pricier suites. All are of great quality and will be disappointing to have to leave when it’s time to go back home.

This is a luxury resort at very high prices, but if it’s something you can afford (or save up for), it’s well worth it! Sitting on the edge of Lake Placid, Whiteface is open year-round, offering every kind of seasonal activity.
