Urban Decay’s Eye Liner Set

Blue Eye Shadow

Even if you aren’t shopping for the holidays, this eye pencil set from famous high end brand Urban Decay will still be a great buy and a big hit for any other special occasion.

I could definitely see someone giving this to a girl for her sweet sixteen as the colors are all hip and bright and something that any teenager or young woman would love. As a gal who is almost 30 and a mother, I still think this set is really neat and something many older women might enjoy as well.

It’s not often we find other eye pencils that aren’t in the same old boring black or brown. I know that many ladies are fond of black because it’s neutral and goes with any eye look or outfit, but I often find using black very harsh especially with my light skin and eye coloring. I don’t know if a stark black is something young girls should wear either as it often makes them look older. This is the age where teens are allowed to experiment with different colors and should be encouraged to do so.

Urban Decay is known for its eye liners. They are said to be creamy and long lasting. Even though they are a bit more pricey than drugstore brands, most liners last a long time and should be of good quality. If you have eyeliner sliding down your cheeks midday, than spending a little more money should have been well worth the price and something you probably wish you would have done.

This is where their set of eyeliners come into play. “24/7 Jackpot” is the name of their set that comes with several mini shades of their famous liner as well as a full size in black – just in case those days arrive where you can’t or wish to not wear something more fun and youthful.

This set is $39 at the Urban Decay site. This might seem a bit pricey, but you get 9 mini colors and one full size pencil.

The colors are really neat and unusual when compared to other brands. You get a wide array of shades including the following: gold, green, navy blue, brighter teal blue, a tarnished gold, brown, bright and dark purple, and the regular black pencil.

I really like this set as I love experimenting with different liners. It’s not always easy to pull off a bright blue eye shadow, but using a neutral lid color with a pop of teal blue or green on the upper lash line might be a bit better and easier to handle.

This is also a great way to be introduced into the world of eye liner if you are not used to wearing it and want to try something new. Either way, you shouldn’t be disappointed with this set. If you don’t mind spending the almost $40, then this is something you might want to check out soon.
