New World in My View
The bond between Sookie and Eric is strong. In the opening Sookie has a dream where she kisses Eric hurt away which the death of Godric and is startled awake with Eric biting her neck that she gave to him. She wakes up in the Anubis bus with Jason and the coffin with Bill in it.
They reach Bon Temps with it in chaos. A man is butting his head against a post. A couple runs right into the bus. The whole town has gone to hell.
Maryann is building a horned god made from bones, meat, flowers, and bark with the help from Eggs who still has those black eyes. She wants Sam as her sacrifice.
Sam is hiding out at the hotel with Andy who gets clothes because in last week’s episode, Sam was a fly and arrived on Andy’s door naked. He is persuaded by Arlene to go to Merlotte’s and of course it a trap. He and Andy get trapped in the cooler at the bar with a crowd of black eyed crazies tearing up his bar.
Sookie, Bill, and Jason find out about the town from Hoyt who is with Jessica at Bill’s house. Hoyt’s mother is black eyed and is acting crazy. Sookie and Bill can’t believe the shape of her house with the effigy in her front lawn. Maryann confronts her and Sookie remembers being chased through the woods by a being. She recognizes it as Maryann and Bill get aggressive. He attacks Maryann and bites her only to find that she is not human because he vomits black blood. Sookie touches Maryann and a light spills out of her fingers. Maryann is confused as to what Sookie really is.
Lafayette has Tara at his place and is trying to change her back to her normal self. The intervention is not working. Sookie and Bill try their hand at getting into Tara’s head when they find out where Tara had gone. Bill uses his hypnosis on her so Sookie can get far into Tara’s mind. She sees what has been happening while she was in Dallas. Sookie gets Tara back to herself with all her memories. She apologizes to her mother and Lafayette.
In the interim Jason heads off to Merlotte’s with an arsenal of power tools as weapons. At first it seems he saves the day but get out witted by the followers of Maryann. Sam gives himself up but as he is being tied to the roof of a car, Jason puts on a show with Andy shining flood lights. To the followers Jason seems to be otherworldly and he tells them he is a god. Jason is wearing a gas mask so his voice is deeper and Andy lifts horn shaped twig behind his head because the god has horns. Sam tells the god to smite him and after saying it a few times, Jason mimes it and Sam turns into a fly again. The followers are happy and leave. Jason and Andy are perplexed as to where Sam went but he appears naked with only an apron on. Sam has a nice behind.
Sookie tells Bill what she seen in Tara’s mind and chants names of gods sparks a memory of reading a book about gods that Bill had once read. He leaves Sookie to find someone who knows about this god and he goes to see the Queen of Louisiana. This is going to connect the series with the book. The queen will probably help Bill for a price and that will be Sookie. Telepathy is a rare gift that the queen will find irresistible. Bill enters her receiving room and we see a woman’s leg with blood running down it. Could be the leg is of a blood donors.
The plot is coming to a conclusion and what will be the seasons end cliffhanger? Can’t wait until next week!
