Top Ten Songs by Beyonce Knowles

Since singer Beyonce Knowles became a solo act with the release of her debut album “Dangerously in Love” in 2003, Ms. Knowles has been a constant presence at the top of the charts. Although there have been hits and misses on all of her albums, I think the following songs represent the best of her artistry.

10.) Me, Myself and I. This song is from Beyonce’s 2003 album, “Dangerously in Love.” A very solid song with a nice beat to groove to.

9.) Listen. This song came off of the Dreamgirls soundtrack. I think this is the best song ever sung by Beyonce. I think it got swallowed up by the movie. It is incredibly powerful in the movie when she sings the song. The lyrics are very poignant and beautiful.

8.) Until the End of Time. A beautiful love song with Justin Timberlake. I think this song was under rated. It is a very powerful ballad that utilizes both of the artists talents.

7.) Beautiful Liar. A collaboration with Shakira that showcases the talents of both singers. The song has a latin/pop vibe that is very unique and memorable.

6.) Dangerously in Love. Sultry, sexy anthem about a woman who is crazy in love with a man. Beyonce seems to be singing this song about JayZ on a very personal level. When she sings “I love you” over and over again there is no doubt that she is really feeling the lyrics. Bravo.

5.) If I Were A Boy. Edgy tune by Beyonce. Very different from anything else on her other albums. This is another song in which she really has to use her voice and showcase her natural talent. Very popular song on the radio during 2008-2009.

4.) Halo. Hauntingly beautiful song which really showcases Beyonce’s lovely voice. The official summer song of 2009. The bummer is that it is incredibly similar to Kelly Clarkson’s “Already Gone.” Same songwriter wrote both songs. Is still an amazing song.

3.) Crazy in Love with Beyonce (and JayZ). This is a thumping, sexy song featuring Beyonce and her husband, legendary rapper JayZ. This song gets people on the dance floor and will stand the test of time as a hip hop/dance classic.

2.) Irreplaceable. In 2008 you couldn’t listen to the radio without hearing this feisty song. This is another female anthem for all the women out there who kick their cheating man out of the house. This song is Beyonce at her Sasha fierce best.

1.) Single Ladies. This song was the female national anthem of 2009. Everyone loved this song, including married women, single men and children. This song definitely grew on me the more I heard it on the radio. And who didn’t want to learn the single ladies’ dance?

Since Beyonce Knowles is only twenty seven years old, it is clear that she will have many more #1 hits in her stellar career.
