Winefest on the Beach

The annual “Winefest on the Beach” is held in early October. It features Chesapeake Bay Style culinary creations, live music, micro-brews, arts and crafts as well as wines from all across the mid-Atlantic.

Riverside Winefest at Sotterley

Hosted by the fine folks at “Sotterley Plantation”, the annual “Riverside Winefest” is held in early October. Highlights of the event include wine tasting, innovative children’s programs, live entertainment, Maryland cuisine, historic exhibits, demonstrations and fine arts.

Even if you are not in the mood for wine this festival is worth a visit for scenery and historic value alone. Built in 1703 by Londoner James Bowles, “Sotterley Plantation” is the last remaining Tidewater plantations in the state that is open for public viewing.
