Are you trying to decide what party favors to use at your next beach themed party? If so, I have a few suggestions that I’d like to make. Here they are:
Almond Marzipan Star Fish
Based on my experience, star fish made out of almond flavored marzipan tends to make a superlative, beach themed party favor. I’d suggest placing a few pieces of the star fish shaped marzipan into a small, blue tulle bag. In order to create the marzipan star fish, you’ll need to purchase a confectioner’s star fish mold. Confectioner’s star fish molds can typically be purchased through restaurant supply stores for around $90 each. The bags tend to sell for less than $1 a piece.
Sugar Sand Dollars
In my opinion, a small bag of sugar sand dollars would also make a wonderful, beach themed party favor for adults. In order to make sugar sand dollars, you’ll need to whip up a batch of sugar skull mix and purchase a sand dollar mold. Sugar skull recipes are available online. Sugar sand dollar molds can generally be found at select specialty shops. I have purchased them for as little as $5 a mold. You’ll also want to pick up a few organza bags to put the sugar sand dollars in.
Saltwater Taffy
Why not create a batch of homemade, saltwater taffy and use it as a beach themed party favor for your adult guests? You may opt to buy pre-made saltwater taffy or make your own. If you do want to make your own saltwater taffy, there are several recipes online that you may want to consider. You’ll also need to purchase confectioner’s paper from a specialty shop to wrap the taffy in. I’d also recommend that you purchase either small candy boxes or organza bags to package the finished product in. In my experience, a box of 200 candy wrappers will tend to lighten your wallet by $9.
Miniature beach bags filled with goodies is a beach themed party favor that you may want to consider. Miniature beach bags are usually available through party supply stores for less than $5 a box (six in a box). I’d suggest either stuffing the bags with candy or non-edible treats. If you go with non-edible treats, you may want to consider including tropical lip balm ($6), travel size sunscreen ($15) and a travel size bottle of tropical scented hand lotion ($20).
Sand Buckets
Another beach themed party favor idea that you may want to try is to create a sand bucket filled with treats. I’d recommend purchasing small, galvanized, metal buckets. In most instances, the buckets will cost you less than $2 each. Once you have the buckets in your possession, line them with shredded, brown paper bag to represent the sand. Then continue by filling the buckets with sea shell shaped chocolates. Sea shell shaped chocolates tend to sell online for $9 (box of six).
