Top 3 Bars in Edgewater, New Jersey

Connoisseur, Edgewater, Top 3 Bars

Set less than 5 minutes away from the George Washington Bridge on a scenic road overlooking the Manhattan skyline, it is a pleasure to drive from these bars in Edgewater, New Jersey, after a long night of fun.Whether you want a laid back beer joint, a connoisseur wine bar or a great place for a romantic date – you will find something here.

Rusty Kale’s Pub.

Location
The first bar on the list is the Rusty Kale’s Pub, just off the GWB. It is impossible to miss this bar because it is on the main road at the far end of Edgewater, close to the GWB.

Atmosphere
The Rusty Kale’s is a New Jersey version of a traditional Irish pub with good hearty food and beer – typical laid back, no frills style. It is good fun if you are looking for a place for a night with friends, or somewhere to unwind after work while watching a game and listening to a juke box. Some time ago they used to have karaoke nights but they don’t officially do it any longer (even though sometimes one of the regulars will volunteer to sing, which can be entertaining.) Even if the bar is located in one of the busiest roads in Edgewater, it is not one of those really busy places with big crowds.

Menu and Price
Don’t expect gourmet style cooking here, but the burgers and fries are great. The portions are big and very cheap, especially for Edgewater. You will get a huge burger and fries, plus local draft beer for about $10

Edgewater Wine and Spirit

My second pick is one of the busiest joints in Edgewater with a great selection of wines and spirits from all over the world and a classy vibe.

Location
Set in the Edgewater Shopping Commons it is difficult to miss this bar if you traveling on River Road.

Atmosphere
If you like hookah you will love this place! Not only they have the best selection of wines and liquor in the area, but they also offer hookahs, which is not something you usually find in Edgewater! The service is great and the atmosphere is elegant-casual. The staff at the bar is very knowledgeable and the DJ creates an interesting vibe with a mix of R&B; and reggae. I would recommend it as a place to chill out with friends drinking excellent wine and smoking hookah.

Menu and Prices
This is the place to be if you are into connoisseur wine and are ready to pay for it. Prices for a wine bottle start at around $15 and keep going up.

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar

This is my top pick if you are looking for a great place for a casual night out with friends, or a dinner date, and you don’t feel like going all the way to NYC.

Location
Fleming’s is at the far end of the City Place Shopping Mall overlooking the Hudson River. If you decide to dine here, ask for a table with a view and you will not be disappointed.

Atmosphere
This is one of my favorite places because the atmosphere is elegant but not overbearing. The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to help. I would definitely recommend Fleming’s for a great evening out whether you are dining with friends, are looking a romantic spot for a dinner date for two or even want to celebrate a special anniversary and want to take the kids with you for a meal.

Menu and Price
The prices are reasonable for Edgewater and the food is great. Their steaks are generous and mouthwatering, and even if they don’t have the selection of the Edgewater Wine and Spirits, they still offer one of the best selections in the area.
