1- Boomerang Bay

You may need more than one day to explore all of the water and land based rides, games, events and dining options at Boomerang Bay. Water park attractions include a “black hole” water slide, 600,000 gallon wave pool, a 1,000 foot long lazy river which winds past South Carolina’s state line into North Carolina, a four person 564 long raft ride, a 25,000 wave pool and surfing experience area, and three children’s water-based play areas which boasts a three-story adventure area.

2- Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Waterpark

You can blend water park fun with outdoor discovery at this 15 acres park. Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Waterpark is a part of the North Charleston Wannamaker County Park system. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes for exploring the manicured paths featuring native flora. Park attractions include the Otter Bay “kiddie pool” with interactive water features, a 27,000 gallon wave pool, toddler shallow water play areas, Big Splash Tree House with 66 interactive features, three water slides and a 870 foot long lazy river ride.

3- Discovery Island

The Greenville County Recreation District watery playground offers exciting and relaxing attractions for visitors who seek to cool off and have a good time in the process. Attractions include two fast paced water slides, a lazy river pool, Flow-Rider water adventure ride, children’s water-based playground, leisure swimming pool, cafe, cabana and party rentals and a sundeck.

4- Family Kingdom Seaside Amusement Park

There is no need to leave the beach to experience the thrill of sliding through tunnels filled with rushing water. Family Kingdom is the only oceanfront water park in Myrtle Beach. Attractions include a lazy river, speed slides, enclosed water flumes, moderately fast slides and children’s water-based adventure areas.

5- Wild Water & Wheels Park

The Surfside Beach area water park includes both water-based and and dry rides. There is no need to sit around bored while waiting for your lunch to settle at Wild Water & Wheels. Water attractions include speed slides, the Dark Hole enclosed slide, floating through waterfalls along the lazy river, catching a wave in the motion pool or watching the little ones at the Kid’s Activity Pool. 6- Myrtle Beach Waves Water Park

Attractions include a LayZee River ride, and a Racin’ River slide which is 250 feet long and pushes skimmer board riders through the enclosed tube at speeds up to 10 miles per hour. Myrtle Beach Waves Water Park also offers eight water slides, shallow swimming pool with water features and a wave pool.

Young children will enjoy the tropical feel of faux palm trees and thatched roof water-based play structures in the shallow pool areas. Splash Zone Waterpark is a part of the James Island County Park system. Park attributes include two 200 foot long water slides, outdoor swimming pool and a lazy river winding pool. Concessions, a bathhouse and lockers are also available.

8- Splash Island Waterpark

The secluded water park is a part of thePleasant Palmetto Islands County Park facility and offers attractions which typically appeal to toddler to younger teenagers. Attractions and amenities include three water slides, spraying water features, an outdoor swimming pool and a lazy river ride. Concessions and locker rental are also available for an additional fee.

9- Palmetto Falls Water Park

The water park features slides, spraying water features and play areas in Fort Jackson. Although the facility is small in size, it does offer much more than a standard public outdoor swimming pool facility. Both sun and shaded lounge areas flank the swimming areas for the convenience of parents of younger children.

10- Shipwreck Cove

If you live or are visiting the Duncan, South Carolina area plan a day at Shipwreck Cove. The park opened in 2009 and features a pirate themed swimming pool and play area for little ones, a lazy river ride, water slides and water cannons in the outdoor swimming pool for older children.
