Top 10 Pools in Las Vegas

Celebrity Sightings, Moorea, Steve Wynn

After staying up late gambling the night before, you may find that there’s nothing better than relaxing by a refreshing Las Vegas resort pool during the day. Perhaps you’ll lift the umbrella on the back of your lounge chair and when the cocktail waitress stops by, you’ll order a Margarita and reflect on last night’s winnings or look ahead to tonight’s exciting show on the Strip. Or perhaps a Blood Mary as a cure from last night’s hangover while you cover your eyes with your Maui Jim’s and peek at the ladies in their bikinis is more your style.

If your idea of a fun day at the pool includes “European-style” sunbathing, then you’re in luck. Many of the popular Strip properties now have special pools with “topless” sun bathing, extending these special pool venues into the evening. An important thing to note on these specialty pools: they cost extra. So, get ready for the “top 10 pools in Las Vegas,” some topless and some not.

Mandalay Bay Beach is no doubt a very popular pool for the entire family with three swimming pools including a wave pool, jogging track, real sand, and a lazy river. There are also cabanas, bungalows and villas and raft/tube rentals. But the Moorea Beach Club is a private, over 21, European-style bathing experience with cushioned chaise lounges, poolside massage services, personalized attendants, day bed and cabana rentals. Rental fees do not include club admission. You can reserve your cabana online at or call (702) 632-7997 to speak with a Cabana host.

The Mirage: a lagoon swimming pool surrounded by lush, tropical landscaping, complete with waterfall and slide. Bare is their European-style, topless, over 21, extra admission pool, ranging from $10-$20 for women and $20-$40 for men. Call (702) 791-7442 for additional information.

Elegant, upscale, and private best describes the pool offerings here. Private cabanas, private pools for VIP Tower Suite guests, private pool for the “adult” guests, and a private elevator giving the only access to the pool, you won’t accidentally stumble on it unless you’re a Wynn guest.

The Venetian Pool Deck, while a rooftop pool, is landscaped more than most rooftop pools. It has three traditional pools and one lounge pool where lounge chairs are situated in the water. You can also rent cabanas, which range from $280 to $450 per day. For details, contact the concierge at (702) 414-4300. Seasonal weekend parties are held at TAO Beach and are open to non-hotel guests of the Venetian.

Hard Rock boasts bars, hot tubs, and pools-the only one in Las Vegas with an underwater sound system. Known as “the best place to party,” the Hard Rock pool area has 37 private Tahitian style cabanas, swim-up blackjack and craps tables.
