Three Effective Butt Exercises for Both Men and Women

Butt Exercises, Squats, Treadmill Workout

Interesting thing about the buttocks: no matter the gender, the very same exercises are effective in sculpting this particular area of body to achieve maximum attraction to either sex. If you are looking for an exercise program specifically designed to make yourself more enticing to those who are checking out your rear end, here are some key moves to fit into your routine.

Dead Bar Lift

One of the easiest weight training exercises to sneak into your workout that will almost immediately impact the look of your buttocks is the dead bar lift. When you start out, you don’t even need the weights. Just a simple broom or anything similar will do the trick. Stand so your legs create a straight line from each hip to the corresponding foot below. Straighten your knees, but avoid locking them. Take hold a barbell or a broom or something of similar length in an overhand grip. You want to hold onto the barbell (or whatever) so that your hands are positioned ever so slightly wider apart than the span of your shoulder blades. Holding the broom (or whatever) in front of you around your thighs, squeeze your stomach muscles tight while slowly bending over forward at the hips. Keep lowering your torso until you can feel the movement cause a tightening in your hamstrings. At that point, start to slowly bend back to the starting position while contracting the muscles in your rear end.

Inclined Treadmill

If you already own a treadmill, you may have one of the best tricks for sculpting yourself a new butt without even taking advantage of it. Any treadmill in which the angle of the incline can be changed is like a magical piece of exercise equipment. When you make the angle of the incline steeper, you automatically increase the effect of the time spent on the treadmill on the muscles of your bottom. Of course, with an increase in the incline comes an increase in intensity. You may find that you can’t go as long during your regular treadmill workout or that you have to decrease the speed, but that’s okay. The payoff will still be a definite improvement in how your treadmill gives your butt more definition.

Squats

Squats are the ultimate go-to exercise for giving your butt a more shapely look. The terrific thing about squats it that they can be done anywhere. You can do squats at home or at work. You can even do squats while waiting in line if you don’t mind drawing some strange looks. The effectiveness of squats can be increased by adding weight in the form of a barbell held in both hands or dumbbells held in each hand separately. If you don’t have weight equipment, grab a big can of food out of the pantry at home or something weighty that is handy at work. The means of exploiting the squat on your way to a more defined butt is simplicity itself. Just stand up straight with your each foot roughly placed in a straight line beneath the corresponding shoulder. Bend down as far as possible while making sure you keep your back straight. That’s pretty much the whole story. Beginners who find themselves a little too unsteady can perfect their form by starting out with a chair on each side that you hold on to during the squat to keep yourself straight, steady and upright.
