The Pets in Paul Teutul, Sr.’s Life

Chopper, Dog Bathing, Dog Behavior Problems, Hairless Dogs

Fans of American Chopper have had several opportunities to see Paul Sr.’s dogs. Gus and Marty are Bullmastiffs, which seem to fit Paul Sr.’s personality, or I believe that they do. I can see a connection in the size of these dogs in that they look huge. No, I have not had the opportunity to actually see Mr. Teutul’s dogs, but I have had the opportunity to see this type of dog breed before. There was a pair of them in a parade I attended just recently and one of them was pulling a wagon with the puppies the two had produced. I will admit it was really a cute way to get the puppies seen and they probably sold a couple of them. Anyway, back to the pets of American Chopper. Through out the seasons, Gus and Marty have been seen on the show, but are they the only pets that Paul Sr. has?

Paul Sr., the patriarch of the Teutul family and of American Choppers does have more pets than just his two massive Bullmastiff dogs. On 48 acres, which is where he goes to escape the craziness of his American Chopper empire, Paul Sr. has a menagerie of small barnyard animals, which seems contrary to the large dogs he has in his life. Here visitors will find miniature horses, miniature donkeys, baby doll sheep, goats and highlander cows, all of which are on the smaller size for the type of barnyard animal that they are. So yes, Paul Teutul, Sr. does have more pets than just his two Bullmastiff dogs and each does get his attention. Well that is when he has the time to give it to him, which may be more often now that his show is no longer on television.

Pets are important in the lives of many people, even those who are famous and have a busy lifestyle. There are times when pets have the ability to slow ones life down, if only for a minute or two, and allow their human to enjoy life a little more. This escape is important, even for someone such as Paul Sr. who does live a very busy life. When watching him hang out with his animals on his farm it is easy to see that this is the place where he goes to escape the busy life he leads due to his business. Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone had this type of escape or at least some type of escape from their real life work?
