Dolce & Gabbana is known for producing high quality scents. One of their most recent perfumes to hit the market is called The One. Does this perfume live up to the many expectations that people seem to have for this popular brand? Here, I’ll tell you exactly what I thought of The One by Dolce & Gabbana.
The One by Dolce & Gabbana – Bottle
As much as I try not to judge a book by its cover, I am fascinated with perfume bottles and the beauty that many of them have to offer. The bottle that The One is offered in is very functional. That is all that I really have to say about it. I don’t find the bottle to attractive and it is quite obvious that neither creativity or beauty was the goal of this design. I think that the Dolce & Gabbana The One bottle serves its purpose.
The One by Dolce & Gabbana – Cost
It is unrealistic to think that a designer brand such as Dolce & Gabbana is going to offer low cost perfumes or colognes. Although I do feel that $65 for 1.6 oz or $85 for 2.5 oz is quite expensive for perfume, I expected to see this type of price tag on The One. This only leads us to one very important question: is the high cost of The One by Dolce & Gabbana worth it? Does its scent meet the expectations that you may have for it?
The One by Dolce & Gabbana – Scent
I really do like the scent of The One by Dolce & Gabbana. It is a sweet but very subtle perfume. There are some obvious hints of floral, but they are not overpowering at all. I think that even someone who does not care for floral perfumes would likely enjoy this. If you like perfumes that do not stand out but smell wonderful, The One is a great choice. The one complaint that I do have about The One by Dolce & Gabbana is that since it is such a light scent, it does not seem to last a very long time. I notice it myself and I have heard other people say the same exact thing about this perfume. In order to maintain the scent that The One has to offer all day long, it seems that you would need to continue spraying it.
I think that The One by Dolce & Gabbana is a fairly decent perfume, but am unable to give it a star rating because I have very mixed feelings about it. I like the smell a lot, even though it does not last long. Unfortunately, the high cost of this perfume would prevent me from buying it. I feel that there are other perfumes in its price range which smell a whole lot better, such as Armani Code For Women and Unforgivable Woman by Sean John. I also think that it is quite pricey for a perfume that is not long-lasting. If you have the money to spend in this perfume, however, I think that it is a great choice for anyone who wants a subtle, sophisticated scent to wear at the office.
