Machine Shed History:
Starting out with one vision in mind, “Dedicated to the American Farmer,” the Machine Shed first opened its doors in 1978 on the outskirts of Davenport, Iowa. With a farm culture and atmosphere, the Machine Shed sought to be a family restaurant that hard working farmers could be proud of. Now 20 years later, the Machine Shed has surpassed all initial expectations and has truly made a dedication to all the hard working farmers that support our country.
The Food:
The Machine Shed makes all their food from scratch while using only fresh ingredients. A few of the main dishes include the likes of choice cut steaks, prime ribs, pork ribs, pot roast (beef, pork or turkey), pork tenderloin, black angus ground beef, chicken breasts, beef liver, ham and bacon. Homemade fresh daily soups and salads are also served along with a variety of homemade desserts.

The Cattleman’s Choice (top sirloin stuffed with swiss cheese, mushrooms, bread crumbs, garlic and spices)
The Heartland Delight (whole pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon, seasoned, and baked)

World Famous Baked Potato Soup (creamy white chowder with tender red potatoes topped with Colby cheese and crispy bacon)

Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad (lettuce and greens topped with Asiago cheese, croutons, and either lemon-peppered or blackened chicken breast)

The price that you pay for your meal is completely worth the amount of food you will get on your plate! You will never walk away hungry when you eat at the Machine Shed. The Service:
During every one of my many visits to the Machine Shed in Appleton, Wisconsin, I have been completely satisfied with the service provided. And while it does take a bit longer for them to make choice cut steaks that you may have ordered, I have learned that the food is definitely worth the wait. I have yet to be dissatisfied while eating at the Machine Shed.
Summary:
In my opinion, the Machine Shed is one of the best meat restaurants you can eat at. The freshness and flavor of their choice cut stakes is absolutely unbeatable. And even though I have only eaten at the Machine Shed in Appleton, Wisconsin, I truly believe that the Machine Shed is a very high quality restaurant that you will love to eat at no matter what city it is located in.
