Beach shoes are one of the hottest trends in the market today. Flip-flops come in many styles and prices, and can run as low as just a few dollars or as high as the hundreds. Even celebrity trend setters like Brittney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Gwen Stefani are often seen wearing one of my personal favorites Havaianas.
If that isn’t enough, country music star Kenny Chesney dedicated an entire tour to flip-flops. He even traded in his cowboy boots for flip flops on stage at the 2008 Farm Aid concert.

The Reef company has been around for quite some time with a large variety of flip-flops when it comes to shape and style. Reef makes sandals in leather, as well as rubber, dressy as well as casual. The average price of a Reef flip-flop is around $35. You can even pick up your very own flip-flops with a built-in bottle opener located on the bottom of the shoes. Everyone needs one of those!
Crocs- You gotta love-em! I have to admit, I wasn’t very fond of these beach shoes when they first arrived on the market, but they have grown on me. Crocs are really very comfortable and versatile. They are not just for the beach either. I have a pair on my porch for gardening and yard work. Although they are one of the most popular among boaters and beachers, I still prefer my flip-flops. The average price for Crocs are around $39.
KEEN This is another favorite among beachers.
A hybrid company, the sandals made by KEEN are lightweight and provide just the right amount of support and protection. The toe protection lets you go from the beach to the boardwalk with comfort and ease. Some of their shoes are made and woven in a way that makes every pair of sandals unique. Flojos Flojos are a trendy favorite among surfers and beach-goers alike. The name Flojos is pronounced flo-hos, meaning “kick back” in Spanish. My favorite is the Trinity, a wedge style flip- flop for beach or casual wear. Most of their sandals are perfect for the beach, while others are perfect for an evening out.
