Country music is the type of genre that can make great music videos. Many of the songs have story-like lyrics that lead to great visuals. Those visuals enhance the song and give the listener an image to think of when they are listening to the song. That said, here are the top 20 country music videos.
20. “Startin’ With Me” by Jake Owen
This video is a little different, but I like it because it takes you through a troubled life full of regretful decisions, something everyone can deal with. The song is better than the video, but nonetheless, the video is really good.
This video does a great job of capturing the absolute heartbreak that is describe in this song. Rascal Flatts has plenty of songs about relationships, and this video is a good visual representation for that.
It’s unclear if this song is about an ex-boyfriend of Underwood’s, but the fact of the matter is, this video is great. Carrie does a wonderful job of mixing revenge with comedy as she looks to get back at the man who cheated on her.
This is one of the longest music videos I’ve ever seen; the story is a little hard to follow, but it’s a good video for an absolutely fantastic song. Chesney certainly loves to act and does his best in this video.
16. “Take Me There” by Rascal Flatts
Similar to “What Hurts the Most,” this song takes you through one of the many stories that the band tells in its songs. This video really inserts visuals into an already great song.
Jason Aldean comes from a different breed of country singer (compared to people like Chesney or Rascal Flatts); he is more focused on pure country than pop-country, and this song is great example. It’s loud, it’s fun, and the video definitely shows it. The video and the song fit perfectly as Aldean shows how fun his songs can be.
14. “Who You’d Be Today” by Kenny Chesney
This is a somber song about the death of a young person, and video uses other actors (other than Chesney) to introduce it as Chesney sings in the background. It definitely makes you think about your life and about a lost loved one.

Carrie Underwood does a great job in all of her videos, and this video shows her “fun” side. The song is all about girls and the video shows all the different things that a girl can become.

This is another fun song with an equally fun video. It’s simple and fits the song well because it shows tons of people who act like they are under the effects of alcohol. It’s a funny, well-written song by Paisley and the video is fun to watch.

A song about loving someone who is far away (especially in the military), the video had to be careful not to make the song too cheesy and demean it with a bad video. Luckily, that didn’t happen and the video is simple and is a perfect accompaniment for the song.

Perseverance is the theme of this song, and, in similar Rascal Flatts fashion, the video does a great job showing the message of the lyrics. The fight, the drive, the desire to keep going is shown throughout the video with different types of people all finding ways to break down walls.
This video may have be Swift’s breakout video. “Tim McGraw” and “Teardrops on my Guitar” were huge, but this song really highlighted Swift’s beauty and propelled her to country stardom. It’s a fun video for a fun song and shows how even a teenager in Swift can be a star.
8. “There Goes My Life” by Kenny Chesney
This is a song that really needs a video, and Chesney certainly delivers. Watching it, you can feel the severity of the issue sung about – teenage births – and how it can change someone and how the initial reaction changes over time.
7. “I Go Back” by Kenny Chesney
This is, in my opinion, Chesney’s best song, and the video is one of his bests as well. It takes you through the joys of the high school and the teenage years.
6. “Believe” by Brooks & Dunn
This is one of the most emotional country songs ever written, and the video does it justice. It takes you through the entire song – the happiness the person has with the old man and then the sadness when he learns that he dies (that turns into happiness when he realizes he’s in a better place).
5. “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems” by Kenny Chesney
This song is all about fun in the sun, and the video definitely shows that. Scenes of parties on the beach, bonfires, and the beautiful Caribbean islands dominate the video and make you feel like you are on the beach with Kenny.
Country music is great at using music videos to tell a story, and this is one of the best at doing that. The video provides great visuals for the viewer to remember when listening to the song.

For a teenager, Swift is great at making videos. Her songs – like this one – relate to fellow adolescents and the video engages the viewer and really captures the passion in the song.

This video is a contrast from the other videos in the top 10; it makes the list not because of its deep message, but rather its hilarity. Paisley was very creative in this video and it is certainly one of the best. The song is great, too, but the video is absolutely perfect for the song.

This song’s message is not only magnificent, but the video is great. Anyone can relate to the song and the video itself shows a normal man reflecting on his life as he watches a news report on a man turning 100 years old. It is a perfect video for a perfect song.
