The Dollar Tree Stores of North Carolina

Dollar Tree

Well I just recently moved to North Carolina; and with new moves come tons of new expenses. Well one store that I’ve found that has just made my life 10 no make it 100 times easier is the Dollar Tree. I mean when I saw the store I almost couldn’t believe it. I know it sounds silly. I mean it’s only a dollar store. We had alleged dollar stores in DC. But most of them would charge close to $1 for items. You may as well have called them ‘under $20 stores’ because they always had overnight bags or light up wall art that was like $15. But most of their items would be like under $5. I got used to this way of life for many years. And then I moved down here and found the Dollar Tree. I never knew it could be so good.

There were a few dollar stores in Maryland that had everything priced at only $1 nothing more or less. But, the ones I ran across were pretty run down and the product quality was often rancid. Well the Dollar Tree is the complete opposite of either business model. First off every single thing is $1. Nothing costs more. Nothing costs less. Oh wait. There were some things that were 2 for a dollar. But anyway. The store is pristine and organized. They get rid of food when it goes bad. They throw it out. It never makes it to your hand. Or at least there’s been none that I’ve found. The products are clean and of good dollar store quality. Now of course it is a dollar store so your towels are going to be a little thinner and your plastic-ware a little cheaper looking sometimes. But I feel the quality of the items is very decent for a dollar store. All the products are also clean. There’s no warehouse goop on anything; or overall disgustingness and sludge.

But, for items like dry pasta, dog food, canned fruit, pasta salad mix, chips, some juices, even soy milk?. You can actually do a little pantry stacking here. Just be careful. Make sure to check the dates on the food and to check for MSG.

The toy and book section is a parents dream. There are so many toys that any kid would truly enjoy and you don’t have to feel bad about buying because it’s only $1! There are tons of coloring books and just a lot of fun stuff for kids.

You should also check out the section with candles and home decor. You can find some great knick knacks and items that look department store like to decorate your living areas and bathroom for only $1. You also can’t beat the Dollar Tree if you’re throwing a party. They have everything there from balloons to decorations. They also have seasonal items for EVERY single holiday.
