The Bombay Club is a DC Don’t Miss

Bombay

Washington DC is a melting pot of people, places and restaurants. It’s what I loved about growing up in that area. There is so much culture and diversity which makes it such a great city. My parents loved to go out, so we frequented many restaurants, and one of our favorites, and it still is, is The Bombay Club for Indian food.

Located in a prestigious location, on Connecticut Avenue, N.W. near other popular and eminent restaurants such as The Prime Rib and Legal Seafood, this restaurant is worth a visit no matter the price range. It is definitely fancy. It is definitely high class. And it is definitely a wonderful place for a tourist or a local to experience. The Bombay Club is the type of place you get dressed up for, put on some make-up and starve yourself all day so you can enjoy their sumptuous cuisine.

If you meander there for lunch, which is a great place for a leisurely and pleasurable meal in the middle of the day, you can enjoy a fabulous Tandoori Trout with ginger and garlic or their authentic lamb dishes with cinnamon flavors or yogurt. For a lighter lunch try their wonderful Masala Crab appetizer with lump crab meat and curry. For dinner the Chutney Fish which uses Red Snapper is delicious as well as their Khubani Duck with apricot and their Seafood Grill with traditional flavors.

They of course have Naan, the wonderful, Indian dipping bread as well as Roti which is whole wheat and interesting desserts like Saffron Kulfi which is an Indian ice cream with berry, citrus and pistachio. There is also a bar at The Bombay Club so you can order from a list of many spirits.
