The Best Place to Buy Household Cleaning Supplies: Dollar Tree

Bathroom Cleaners, Clean Bathroom, Cleaning Supplies, Dollar Tree, Sanitary

My wife and I can’t claim that we keep a pristine home. (O.K., we could make that claim, if I would quit saving little scraps of paper like receipts and grocery lists.) However, we are serious about making sure that our bathrooms and kitchen are safe and sanitary environments. Consequently, we put away the dishes and wipe down the counters and tables each night. It’s just one of our seven sanitary routines for a healthier home.

Unfortunately, sanitary routines cost money. If you buy kitchen and bathroom cleaners at your local grocery store, you can expect to pay $3 to $5 per can or bottle of cleaning product. That can really add up. While you could opt to save money by making your own cleaning products with vinegar and some concoction that your grandmother used to recommend, we’re Americans and we believe in better living through chemistry. We’ve also found the perfect place to buy cleaning products: Dollar Tree.

On a recent run to Dollar Tree, we purchased $7 worth of cleaning supplies. For our money, we got dish washing detergent, kitchen surface cleaner, glass cleaner, floor cleaner, foaming bathroom cleaner, and two cleaning products for the car. We’ve also purchased toilet bowl cleaner at Dollar Tree, paper towels, sponges, small plastic buckets, and other cleaning supplies. For $1 per product, you really can’t go wrong with cleaning supplies from Dollar Tree.

So far, we’ve found that a 30-ounce bottle of PowerX Crystal Gel Dishwasher Detergent is a great deal. It does a good job for a fraction of the price of the popular name brand dishwasher soaps. We also find that it does a better job than the powdered dishwasher soap offered at Dollar Tree. The HomeStore Non-Abrasive Bathroom Cleaner works just like Scrubbing Bubbles, smells better, and only costs $1. Solutions brand Glass Multi-Surface Cleaner does a great job and uses the power of vinegar to clean bathroom mirrors and other surfaces. While it brings the scent of vinegar to your bathroom, it does a great job at an unbeatable dollar store price.

Of course, not all Dollar Tree products are generic. For example, we were able to get Comet brand multi-surface spray cleaner for only a dollar. It came in Lilac Bliss scent and made our kitchen smell nice when we cleaned. It works just as well as any other multi-surface cleaner at a fraction of the price. For the laundry room, we’ve also found Gain Fabric Softener Sheets at the Dollar Tree. They work well and they are a name brand product. Jonny Fresh Toilet Bowl Cleaner may not be the best known brand of toilet bowl cleaner, but it works great for only a dollar. The toilet hasn’t complained about it even once.

As the recession and economic doldrums linger, a lot of Americans feel poor. But, even if they are poor, they don’t need to be dirty. Your local Dollar Tree dollar store has all the basics you need to keep a clean and healthy home.
