The Beautifying Benefits of Sunflower Oil

Sunflower Oil

Sunflower oil is one of my favorite oils to use all over my skin because of the high amount of vitamins E, A, C and D it contains, and we all know how important vitamins are to keeping our skin healthy and youthful. However, it is important to know how to use sunflower oil properly to get the beautifying benefits from the vitamins in the oil, which I will share with you from my own personal experience.

Anti-Aging Bath

My all time favorite way to help get the beautifying benefits from sunflower oil is by pouring a cup of it into a relaxing warm bath and soaking in it for an hour or so. The warmth from the water will help soften up the skin and open up the pores enough to allow the sunflower oil to soak deep beneath the skin so the vitamins can nourish and rejuvenate the skin back to youthfulness naturally.

In addition, soaking in a bath made with sunflower oil can help relieve physical and mental stresses from the body and mind as well, which can also help reduce and prevent signs of aging. We all know that stress is one of the main reasons we tend to age so fast to begin with so why not soak in a luxurious warm anti-aging bath soak made from sunflower oil that can help keep us youthful.

I know every night I soak in a warm bath made with sunflower oil and it helps reduce my stress dramatically and my skin always looks and feels silky soft and youthful with this brilliant glow. I am always asked my secrets to keeping my skin looking to beautiful and well now you all know one of my secrets to the way I do it naturally and simply.

Soaking in the bath nightly also, helps treat and soothe my eczema patches naturally. I have suffered from eczema most of my life and the only thing that has ever helped me keep the dry itchy scaly patches to a minimum has been sunflower oil.

Relaxing Massages

Another relaxing way I help keep my skin youthful and beautiful and well nourished with the vitamins from sunflower oil is by massage my skin down daily and nightly with the oil after a warm bath or shower. I find massaging the oil into my skin from head to toe after a warm bath, or shower is the best time to massage and apply the oil to my skin. The reason why is because the skin is still warm and damp and the oil has a greater chance at soaking deep within the skin and nourishing it right up with all the amazing vitamins it contains.

Once the oil is applied, I wrap a towel around me and allow it to soak into my skin completely for a good twenty minutes as I do my hair, makeup and brush my teeth. If you put your clothing on right after applying the sunflower oil to your skin, your clothing will stick to your body and become all greasy and oily with stains. This was the first hard lesson I had to learn when starting to use the oil for beautifying purposes.

In the past, I also tried applying the sunflower oil to my skin without showering or bathing and it honestly just sat on the surface of my skin and did nothing else but makes me feel greasy and oily. So, do not do this mistake or you will feel like you want to shower and bath all over again.

Exfoliating Scrub

My last favorite way to get the beautifying benefits out of sunflower oil is by making a homemade sugar scrub with the oil. The way I do that is combining three cups of white sugar with one and half cups of sunflower oil until I get a heavy thick gritty oily mixture. Then I go into the bathroom and soak my skin down with plenty of warm water to help soften up the dead layer of flaky skin on my body. After, I take a handful of the body scrub and rub it into my skin using circular motions from head to toe until I feel my skin is well exfoliated. Then I rinse down with warm water and pat my skin dry with a warm towel. After, my skin is silky soft, smooth and glowing again because the sunflower oil in the scrub was able to slug off the dead layer of skin with the sugar, and had the ability to penetrate deep beneath the new layer of healthy skin to help nourish it with potent vitamins due to the warmth of the shower.

Bottom Line

Never use sunflower oil on dry skin because you wont get the beautifying results you are looking seeking. Always, and trust me I mean always use sunflower oil on wet warm, or damp warm skin so the vitamins from the sunflower oil can soak deep beneath the skin and give you the exact beautifying results you are looking for from the oil. Trust me on this. If you decide not to follow these basic rules when using sunflower oil, you will end up feeling greasy and wanting to shower just as I did when I first started using the oil myself, and I do not think you want that.
