The Amazing Health Benefits of Using Vitamin E Oil Topically

Sun Poisoning, Vitamin E, Vitamin E Oil

You probably know that taking Vitamin E orally is good for your health. So is eating foods that are high in natural Vitamin E, such as green, leafy vegetables, wheat germ and spinach. It can help increase your immunity system, protect against certain cancers and increase your brain power. But, did you also know that Vitamin E, which is also known as “Tocopherol”, can help your body in other ways? Read this informative article and learn about the amazing health benefits of using Vitamin E Oil topically!

1. Vitamin E Oil Speeds the Healing of Cold Sores
Before I learned that taking L-Lysine every day helps prevent cold sores, I suffered with these unsightly lip blemishes. A co-worker recommended Vitamin E Oil. I bought a small bottle at the health food store. Thereafter, everytime I felt the familiar sting that a cold sore was getting ready to erupt on my lip, I would immediately massage the area with a few drops of Vitamin E Oil several times a day. The results? The cold sores rarely emerged. Nonetheless, I kept massaging my lip with Vitamin E for another day or two just to make sure the dreaded cold sore was really gone.

You can also give yourself daily protection against cold sores by using Vitamin E Oil as a lip moisturizer.

2. Vitamin E Oil – A Nighttime Beauty Aid for Wrinkles and Dry Skin
After you have removed your make up at night, apply a drop of Vitamin E Oil to your fingertip. Gently rub this natural beauty aid on Crow’s Feet around your eyes, on wrinkles around your lips, on any problem skin areas you have on your face. (Do not use it on oily skin.) You can actually apply a little Vitamin E Oil to your entire face- just keep it out of your eyes- to help make your dry skin soft and moisturized.

Vitamin E Oil can also be used underneath your make up in the daytime to help protect your skin.

3. Vitamin E Oil – Treatment for Minor Sunburn
Another amazing health benefit of using Vitamin E Oil topically is that it can help soothe a minor sunburn. It will also help reduce the damage to your skin from being exposed to the sun’s harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. Simply apply Vitamin E directly onto the sunburned areas twice a day until the skin is healed.

Vitamin E Oil is also an effective treatment for minor Sun Poisoning. It will help heal the damaged skin and fades the spots if you use it twice a day.

4. Vitamin E Oil Fades Scars
Another amazing health benefit of using Vitamin E Oil topically is, it will help fade scars. My friend Kay had surgery a few years ago. It left her with a long, ugly, reddish scar that ran approximately 8 inches down her forearm. When she expressed concern about it, Kay’s surgeon recommended applying Vitamin E Oil to it twice a day. She did, and the scar is hardly noticeable today.

5. Vitamin E Oil Helps Erase Pregnancy Stretch Marks
Simply apply several drops of Vitamin E Oil onto those stretch marks you got while you were pregnant. Gently rub it in. It will take some time, but if you keep at it twice a day, in time your skin will be restored. Vitamin E Oil also helps fade older stretch marks.

Notes
The best time for me to use Vitamin E Oil on my skin is after a bath or shower, before I go to bed. I also use it at lunch time or in the early afternoon when I take a break from work. This way, it’s easy for me to apply the Vitamin E Oil twice a day.

To heal cold sores, I said I bought a bottle of the oil. I did this because it was easier to carry in my bag. However, now I just puncture Vitamin E gels- the same kind I take orally- and squeeze the oil out onto my skin. The IU (International Unit) content of the oil varies, depending on the brand you buy. Personally, I buy the 400 IU on the advice of the pharmacist. I find it works well. If you’re not sure what strength to buy, consult a pharmacist or your healthcare professional.
