Shopping Centers

A few minutes drive from RDU (Raleigh-Durham) International Airport and a few miles before the Wake County/Durham County line, one can find a great area to spend the day. Brier Creek Commons Shopping Center is located on Brier Creek Parkway off of U.S. 70/Glenwood Avenue. The Brier Creek area features nice neighborhoods in Raleigh. It is an area that is growing fast and becoming more popular with the development of the shopping center.

The center is filled with approximately 80 stores and businesses in a beautiful, well-kept environment that allows visitors to enjoy a leisurely walk from store to store in the refreshing outdoors. It’s easy to spend an entire morning or afternoon hanging around the shopping center or nearby areas. Right next to the shopping center, across Glenwood Avenue, are more shops and places to dine (Kohl’s, Moe’s, Red Robin and more).

Early bird shoppers at Brier Creek Commons Shopping Center can catch a breakfast at McDonalds or Camille’s Sidewalk Café, where customers can munch on a breakfast wrap or order some gourmet coffee. Camille’s is a lovely, quaint place to dine and has outside seating for its customers. The café sells a variety of sandwiches, flatbread pizza, salads and smoothies for both lunch and dinner. Morning shoppers can also stop by one of a few different kinds of coffee shops, such as Caribou Coffee or Bruegger’s Bagels.

The shopping center is a great destination for shoppers because it contains stores for people of all interests. Chocolate lovers can stop by Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory to satisfy their sweet tooth. Creative and artistic minds can stop by Michael’s, The Arts and Crafts Store. Book lovers can pick up some best sellers at Barnes & Noble. Video game fanatics can browse around Game Stop. Shopping for clothes can take place at Lane Bryant, Catherine’s, Target, Ross or T.J. Maxx. Those who are looking to decorate their homes can stop into HomeGoods or Kirkland’s. Sports-minded people can make it a point to stop by Dick’s Sporting Goods. People searching for that perfect bottle of wine can go to Total Wine & More. Men looking for the perfect piece of jewelry for their women can head into Kay Jewelers. Children can enjoy fun activities at Jasper’s Place and have fun getting a haircut at Snip-Its. PetSmart even offers a place where pets are welcome.

In between shopping, people can get their eyes checked at Eye Care Associates, or pamper themselves with a relaxing massage at Massage Envy, time at the spa at Skin Sense Day Spa or a hairstyle change at Blo Hair Salon or Great Clips.

As the afternoon or evening approaches, couples or families can catch that movie they’ve wanted to see at Regal Brier Creek Stadium 14. After the movie, folks can get some ice cream at Dairy Queen/Orange Julius or Maggie Moo’s. If ice cream isn’t enough to satisfy one’s hunger, there are plenty of restaurants in the shopping center. Longhorn Steakhouse has tasty steaks and wonderful desserts. Fujisan Japanese Steakhouse offers a fun, interactive dinner where chefs prepare the food right at your table, along with a few tricks and an occasional erupting onion volcano. Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse is the perfect place for special occasions. There are also the popular eateries such as O’Charley’s, Applebee’s, Bob Evans, Chili’s and Uno Chicago, with its huge peanut butter cup and chocolate chip cookie desserts. The dining list gets even longer with Italian restaurants, Mexican food, Indian food, Thai food and Greek food. Finding a restaurant to one’s liking will not be a problem at Brier Creek Commons Shopping Center. The problem will be how to decide which restaurant to go to.

In addition to offering a comforting, pleasing shopping experience, the center also provides special events for its customers. The Christmas holidays are made more jolly and cozy with horse carriage rides around the block, and the skies at the shopping center light up with colorful explosions around the Fourth of July.
