Solutions to Excessive Vaginal Wetness

There are various reasons why a women’s vagina produces moisture. Typically a women’s vagina should be moist at all times. This is caused by the mucus that is produces by the cervix. The vaginal mucus changes due to hormone production.

During the arousal state many women suffer from having too much vaginal fluid. During arousal stage much like a man blood starts to flow to the veins around the vulva, clitoris and pelvis region. This happens due to the veins dilating and increasing the blood flow. Because of the increased blood flow your body is going through vascongestion, this gives your vagina the “flushed feeling”. Due to vasongestion your vagina will start to “sweat” this is what usually causes excessive wetness.

Excessive vaginal wetness can cause disturbances to one’s sex life. Often reducing sensations or preventing the vagina from feeling tight for your partner during sex. There are some non-medical solutions you can try to reduce the amount of vaginal wetness you experience during the arousal state.

Alcohol and smoking, while these two methods are debatable if you are a social drinker or a regular smoker it cannot hurt to try these methods. Both are said to have a dehydration effect on the body. It is wise to use common sense and avoid drinking too much before sex, 1 to 2 drinks should be enough.

Excessive vaginal wetness can also be caused by higher levels of estrogen. You can try a natural approach to lessening vaginal wetness by applying progesterone creams made from natural sources such as wild yam.

Trying different positions during sex, including positions that tighten the vagina may offer your partner and you a chance to feel friction. These positions would include the “doggy style” position and lying on your side while your partner penetrates you from behind. These positions help give the impression of a tighter vagina and also reverse the flow of vaginal fluids.

Specialty creams are another option. These specialty creams can be found online or in adult type stores. These vaginal tightening creams work much like pickling agents for food. Specialty creams are made from various sources and may require trial and error to find one that works for you. These would include products that are made from synthetic or natural ingredients.

Lastly this article includes the blotting method or the killer of the mood method. This method is simply done by putting a towel down prior to sex and lightly blotting the vagina as you become too wet. This method is often a killer of moods unless you become so slick at it that your partner does not notice you hurrying to wipe your vaginal area.

If your vaginal wetness is not cured by any of these methods you will want to consult with your OB/GYN or your medical care provider to see what other options are open to you or if there is an underlying cause that is causing your body to create excessive vaginal fluids.
