Shopping Malls in Memphis

Bonefish Grill, Dillard's, Shopping Centers

Memphis is home to several shopping malls including Carriage Crossing, Hickory Ridge Mall, Oak Court Mall, Peabody Place, Raleigh Springs Mall, Saddle Creek, and Wolfchase Galleria. Here is a guide to these local shopping centers.

The Avenue Carriage Crossing is the newest shopping center in the Memphis area. Located in Collierville, it is a short hop on Nonconnah Parkway to get to this large outdoor mall. It may be a pain during the Memphis heat and rain, but the shopping is well worth it. The mall is right down the street from FedEx’s Collierville facility and houses several upscale shops including Parisians. The are several delicious restaurants including Stix, Firebirds, and Bonefish Grill. The center has several clothing stores, including: White House/ Black Market, Buckle, Aeropostale, Christopher & Bank, and Children’s Place. There are also fun stores like Swoozies and Just Dogs Gourmet. Rounding out the mix is Dillard’s, for all your needs. The Collierville Police Department makes their presence known and this new mall remains a clean and safe place for families.

Hickory Ridge Mall is in the Hickory Hill area off of Winchester. This one is a bit old and on a slight decline. The interior of the mall features a beautiful carousel and a food court with a delicious array of food. The tenants include Hibbett Sports, School Uniform Central, and 4Ever Young. The only down side of this shopping center is the crime rate. There are too many stories of vehicles being stolen and broken into.

The Oak Court Mall is located off of Poplar at Perkins and is surrounded by beautiful landscaping. This is a smaller shopping center and slightly aged. The interior features a cool water feature with a marble ball that rotates with the water. The mall is anchored by Dillard’s and Macy’s. There are also stores for everyone inside including American Eagle, Hollister, Lane Bryant, Gap, Express, Aveda Lifestyle, and Franklin Covey.

The Peabody Place is more of an entertainment center. The center features several stores, including Gap, Victoria’s Secret, COCO & LILLY, and Claire’s. The center also houses a Muvico theater, a Putting Edge glow in the dark golf course, Jillian’s (which has great food, pool tables, video games, and glow in the dark bowling), and several restaurants perfect for gathering places prior to a short trek to Beale Street.

The Raleigh Springs Mall is located at Yale and Austin Peay in Raleigh. It is another older center and has suffered recently after losing all of its anchors except for Sear’s. They have made some advancement with the addition of new eating establishments and the movie theater. The mall has an eclectic mix of stores, including Citi Trends, City Gear, Champs Sports, Rainbow Inc., and Rave. Unfortunately, with the absence of many stores, it seems as though it is just a matter of time before we see the close of this Memphis center.

The Saddle Creek shopping center is another outdoor center located in the Germantown area near Poplar and Germantown Parkway. This center also has several upscale stores including White House/ Black Market, J. Crew, Crabtree & Evelyn, and a great restaurant, Yia Yia’s EuroCafe. The center also has several stores unique to Memphis including Coach and Sigrid Olsen.

Finally, Wolfchase Galleria is in the Cordova area at Highway 64 and Germantown Parkway. This indoor mall features a movie theater, carousel, and play area for children. Four department stores, Dillard’s, JC Penney, Macy’s, and Sear’s anchor the mall. This large mall has a food court with a wide variety of selections and two sit down restaurants, American Café and Ruby Tuesday. There are stores for everyone and several stores that, in Memphis, can only be found at Wolfchase Galleria. These include Fossil, Guess, and bebe.
