Scott’s Lawn Fertilizer Reviews

Fertilizers, Green Lawn, Lawn Fertilizers, New Lawn

The spring is the perfect time to start thinking about your lawn as many fertilizers have to be applied starting in April. This guide is to the three most relevant Scott’s fertilizers for a great lawn. I personally use the Scott’s four step program on my lawn, the fertilizers work very well and I would recommend them.

1. The first product is the Scott’s Super Turf Builder Plus. The Super Turf Builder Plus will help build a beautiful green lawn in only a few days using less water. This particular fertilizer is safe around kids and animals which is a huge benefit as many fertilizers sold are not safe for many days after being applied. The Turf Builder promises a healthier looking lawn in only a few days, the product does work very well and can be applied via a simple lawn spreader. I would go with the Turf Builder Plus as it has more nutrients than the regular Turf Builder. Another benefit is if you do not use the entire bag you may keep it on hand until you need it, as it never goes bad.

2. The Scott’s Starter Fertilizer is a great product for anyone who is just starting their new lawn, or is reseeding. Seeding a lawn is an expensive process and one that may take a few rounds of seeding to accomplish results. The starter fertilizer is an inexpensive way to ensure that the seeding process takes root. I recently had my lawn hydro seeded however the rains washed out a majority of the process, before reseeding again I used the starter fertilizer, the new grass came up nicely with a rich and think healthy feel to it. The starter fertilizer has patented nitrogen time released formula, what this means is that the grass will only get feed when it needs it and also this prevents grass burning.

3. The Scott’s four step fertilizer is a great way to make sure that your lawn stays healthy and is the envy of all your neighbors this summer. The first step is the Crabgrass Preventer Plus Fertilizer, this first step is vital in preventing your lawn from being cluttered from weeds, the fertilizer also feeds and nutritious your lawn for a greener healthier look. Step Two is week control, basically provides nutrients for your lawn as well as ensuring there will be no weeds. Works the same way as the starter fertilizer with the nitrogen release system. Step 3 has insect control which prevents summer insects from destroying your lawn. Step 4 is applied towards the end of the summer; it helps build better roots for your lawn next spring. The applications and uses can be more detailed and explained on the Scott’s website and the Aubuchon Hardware website.
