Savasa Fitness Gloves for Working Out

Calluses, Cycling Fitness Music

A month ago I joined Curves gym for women, and after two weeks of working out with their resistance exercise equipment, I started to develop blisters, then calluses on my hands. This condition reminded me of what happens to my hands when I rake our large yard without wearing protective work or garden gloves.

Curves sells workout gloves with the fingers cut off, but they didn’t have any in my size, which is a size small, so I decided to look at my local Walmart and Fred Meyer stores. I found the perfect pair of fitness gloves at Fred Meyer, and the brand I purchased is Savasa, which is a trademark of Bell Sports, Inc.

My Experience

The only color my Savasa Fitness Gloves came in was a pea green and gray color. All of the other gloves that I looked at had a velcro closure near the wrist, which I found cumbursome while wearing in the store, so I couldn’t imagine working out with these style of fitness gloves. The Savana Fitness Gloves was the only pair in stock that did not have the velcro closure.

Initially, I thought that maybe the velcro was built in so that the gloves could be put on and taken off easier and faster, but this was not the case. I really could find no positives about the velcro closures.

Instead, the Savasa Fitness Gloves are made from several different types of materials. The back of the hand is constructed of a 100% polyester eye mesh material, which stretches and breathes. It’s very thin and my hands do not get hot while working out when wearing these gloves.

The eye mesh/diamond mesh section is made from 84% nylon and 16% spandex. The palm section has a nicely padded palm area, and although it looks and feels like suede leather, it is actually made from 100% polyester backing.

To make the Savasa Fitness Gloves easier to get on and off, there is a section at the outside of the wrist that has a groove, covered with a thick elastic, so they stretch nicely.

When the small size is on my hands, the fingers stop just before my knuckles, so I can bend my hands easily and yet the gloves still give my hands the protection from the exercise equipment. Since I have been wearing these gloves, my hands are healing up nicely, and my calluses are starting to soften and fade away.

Let’s face it, in order to stay in shape, working out is a necessary step we must take. However, blisters and calluses are not at all appealing! I am so very glad that I found these Savasa Fitness Gloves! They give me a great grip, protection, and comfort during a workout with the 14 different exercise machines at my local Curves. They seem well constructed, with double stictching along the palms and around the padded areas.

The Savasa Fitness Gloves were the most expensive pair of exercise gloves in the store, retailing for $19.99, but were on sale for 40% off, making them a great value.
