Rosemary Infusion for Relieving Fatigued Feelings and Drowsiness

Rosemary

I suffer from insomnia and without sipping down a cup of sleepy herbal tea and taking my homeopathic sleeping medication; I end up staying up all night. However, when I do take my sleepy herbal tea and my homeopathic sleeping medications I sleep like a baby, but in the morning I am left extremely fatigued and drowsy unless I get a full nine to twelve hours of sleep. On the mornings, I wake up fatigued and drowsy I find coffee useless, but what I do find helpful is a couple cups of my rosemary infusion. Rosemary is a wonderful natural herb that is uplifting, refreshing and rejuvenating to the body, mind and spirit. It helps awaken the body and mind so it does not feel so run down and fatigued.

Why is rosemary helpful for treating fatigue and drowsiness?

Rosemary is helpful for treating fatigue and drowsiness because it contains an essential oil along with antioxidants, minerals and vitamins that have a stimulating effect on the body’s circulatory and nervous systems. Simply breathing in the aroma of rosemary is uplifting to the mind and spirit and can easily relieve depression and sadness naturally and well.

How is the rosemary infusion made?

The rosemary infusion is made using two to three tablespoons of dried rosemary depending on how strong you want the infusion along with a tablespoon of peppermint, a teaspoon of dried eleuthero root, which is a natural adaptogen perfect for relieving stresses on the body related to fatigue. Next, I place these dried herbs into an infuser and place the infuser into a small pot along with four cups of fresh cold water. After, I bring the water to a roaring boil to help release the herbs essential oils and nutrients that are needed to fight off fatigue and drowsiness naturally. Then, I remove the infusion from the stove, place a lid on the pot, and allow the infusion to steep for about twenty-five minutes. Once the infusion is ready it has a brownish golden color and a strong refreshing rosemary mint scent with a rosemary mint earthly flavor as well.

How is the rosemary infusion served up to sip on?

The way I like to serve my rosemary infusion up to sip on is by pouring two cups into a large mug and adding in a teaspoon of raw organic honey, which also contains vitamins, minerals, natural sugars and antioxidants that help energize the body naturally. After, I sip this refreshing and uplifting rosemary infusion down until the two cups are gone and shortly after usually within fifteen minutes I am free from fatigue and no longer drowsy. However, on mornings when I wake up feeling ill I drink up to three to four cups of the infusion because the herbs in the infusion help boost the immune system and have the ability to prevent an illness such as the cold or flu from becoming worse.

Precaution with the Rosemary Infusion

Pregnant women should not use the rosemary infusion because rosemary has been known to cause miscarriages. Those with high blood pressure along with other medical conditions should talk to a doctor before using the herbs in the infusion to make sure they are safe and right for you. The only side effect I have experienced with my Rosemary Infusion is slightly elevated blood pressure, but that only occurred once. Overall, the rosemary infusion is safe to sip on to relieve fatigue and drowsiness naturally anytime you need it.
