Review of Weleda’s Calendula Nappy Change Cream

Diaper Ointment, Weleda, Zinc Oxide

Weleda’s Calendula Nappy Change Cream has been a big hit in my house.

I especially enjoy how easily the calendula cream comes off in the bath with each wash or with each change of diaper. I found it to be much creamier than Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Diaper Ointment, and the zinc oxide wasn’t nearly as difficult to get off. With Burt’s Bees Diaper Ointment, I found that gentle cleansing with a light washcloth was not washing off even a small amount of the ointment. No such problem with Weleda’s Calendula Nappy Change Cream!

The calendula cream has very natural ingredients in it like sweet almond oil, sesame seed oil, calendula officinalis flower extract, chamomila recutita flower extract and the above-mentioned zinc oxide.

Weleda’s Calendula Nappy Change Cream also has a lovely, sweet scent and contains the natural essential oils of lavender, orange, rosemary, sage and ylang ylang to give it a natural smell free of any harsh chemicals.

This Weleda product has nipped any diaper rash in the bud, and has kept my 3 week old free so far of any red or, indeed, even slightly pinkish bottoms!

I hasten to add that I’m meticulous with each diaper change and never leave a wet or soiled diaper on. Still, nighttime even in disposable diapers could possibly be problematic as I change around every 3 to 4 hours. But with Weleda’s Calendula Nappy Change Cream, I’ve not had any problems with diaper rash and don’t expect to at this rate.

I give two thumbs up for Weleda’s Calendula Nappy Change Cream and praise the Germans for creating this wonderful product.
