Real Flower, Kitchen Sink Soap Dispenser

Dish Soap, Kitchen Sinks, Soap Dispenser

Let’s see, what all can you give a make-over to? Well, that’s going to be a long list: your hair, your style, your living room – there is no end to the things that can be “made over”. Some people give themselves a make-over, trying to have an updated appearance, and others give a room a make-over, to impress guests or to make it more cozy. But how often have you thought about giving your dish soap a make-over? Not once? Hmm, that’s weird; am I the only one? Seriously, everyone has dish soap; some try to hide it and others leave it out for anyone to see. You’ll definitely want to leave yours out because it will have a flowery, lovely look, once you give it a make-over. It will look like a lovely kitchen accent, rather than an ordinary bottle of dish soap.

I don’t know if it’s an illness, a disturbance, or what, but I don’t really like owning the same things as everyone else. I’m not crazy over the fact that someone else has on my same jeans, or is carrying the same purse as I am. Even down to the dish soap – I don’t want it to be the same bottle that millions of people have on their kitchen sinks. It only takes a couple of minutes to pour it into another container so that it looks a little nicer, and a lot less like everyone else’s.

Have you ever seen one of those clear, heavy bottles, filled with oil and flowers? Each one is different from the next and each one is beautiful. A wine bottle is a really nice way to present the kitchen dish soap while giving it the look of one of those oil-and- flower bottles. A clear wine bottle is perfect for making the unusual dispenser for that soap. You can make it a lovely home accent by pouring the dish soap you always use right into the bottle.

Put flower petals, flower heads, leaves, reeds, and/or other botanical choices into the wine bottle and gently pour the dish soap in on top of them. Or, fill the bottle with chosen silk flowers. As you pour the liquid soap into it, bubbles will form, but that adds to the look of the finished bottle. If possible, set the bottle in a window and allow sunlight to stream through it. Of course, a light color of soap will make it easier to see the flowers.

Why have a fancy, wine bottle dish soap dispenser without bothering with the cork? You can make any number of cork accents by using hot glue and a trinket, bead, tiny ball, wrought iron piece, or even a drawer pull. Pop the cork, pour in the soap, and get those dishes done in style!
